Spring Practice

Just a reminder for folks, this saturday is the spring game (at noon).

Sucks they closed off the upper deck...the lower level seats suck. Can see a lot more things from higher up.

Also $10 parking is whatever...but at least take credit cards. Cash only is silly in this day and age.

Sussman has thrown like 20 picks today. Looks like Crook is gonna start again this year...he's having a better scrimmage although isn't Fiacchi by any means.

Qb play is non existent... Going to be a long year. Lost count of picks. 55-29 defense.

Yeah its gonna be rough...much of the same from last year. Why haven't they played any other QB options...seems like only Sussman and Crook have played today.

Many passes if not most past ten yeards are not even close.

We're going to be a ground and pound team and will rely a lot on the defense.

At least one INT went thru the TE's hands first.

 

Sussman looked like he locked onto his primary receiver and didn't check off, allowing the defense a good break on the pass.

 

At least the field goal kicking looked good, and the QBs ran a lot of plays under center, so maybe we won't have to use a long snap when it's first and goal at the two.

Observations from the spring game: Brunson was on the sideline doing exercises and loosening up. They played him last year so he was either dinged or being disciplined. Blitz is HUGE. Some interesting new players who must be walk-ons. Lots of new local players too. Defense was way ahead of the offense. QB play was BAD. Perhaps it would have been better if they were allowed to run out the QB keepers, but the passing game was the TE's mostly. RBs were running hard...Jamal Williams (HVCC transfer) has some wheels. LB play was terrific. Nicastro in street clothes with a knee brace, but able to run. Ketter was in the game. Don't know if they will all be good but there are now 5 WRs on the roster 6-3 to 6-5. Rayshan Clark with a 73 yard pix six down the near sideline. Stark was perfect on FGs and extra points including a 44 yarder into the wind. He did a 34 yarder in the same direction later on with the entire defense screaming at him from close range. There's some LBs with size now. I count 16 locals on the spring roster. Did I mention QB play was bad? It was a nice day and good to see some football!
