#102377 2017-18 Season

Posted by Eli on 13 October 2017 - 10:48 PM

Quick video of some of the nice moves, etc. I cut out a lot of the running of the plays, etc. to appease MRSGDG :P (and to cut the video time down lol).

Healey has had a poor shooting night but very athletic. Sees the floor well and drives and dishes as good as anyone at this level. Sprints back on D, stays in front of his man.

Sorry, got a little carried away there.

#102329 [FB] Game 7 - vs Maine - 10/21 - 3:30PM

Posted by Eli on 11 October 2017 - 12:37 PM

Gattuso said on Wyland today that the league reviewed the tape and Hatalsky will miss the first vs. Maine

That's some BS.

The player was upright when Hatalsky started his tackling process and by the time Hatalsky got to him, the other guy dragging him by the feet had brought him to his knees, hence the hit to the head. Nothing Hatalsky could have done.

#102235 [FB] Game 6 - @ Richmond - 10/7 - 3PM

Nice TD! Do not miss the PAT!

#102231 [FB] Game 6 - @ Richmond - 10/7 - 3PM

Posted by Eli on 07 October 2017 - 05:06 PM

So he is ejected for 1st half of next game too right?

School needs to appeal if possible and call for ref to be fired. BS.

But that is pass interference!? What happened in the end zone?

Can't wait for the P&G game. Dyin to get back into SEFCU for some basketball.

#101996 [FB] Game 5 - @ Elon - 9/30 - 2PM

Posted by Eli on 02 October 2017 - 11:36 AM

Coach Gattuso basically said the same thing.  The Offense has to get better and the QB has to play better.  At least he sees it too!  I had so much hope for this season.  The offense has let the team down, bottom line.  We need a QB.  Brunson and Sussman are not the answer it seems.  If one or both do not get better and the coaches do not start calling a better game on offense we are in trouble.  Such a let down. The defense has been absolutely outstanding.

Coaches should do their part and make the game easier for the player(s). Things like not running Sussman out there and things like quick slants for Brunson would help. Get the ball in and out quick. Look at what McCown is doing with Jets after most everyone thought they'd lose all 16 games...Morton (OC) has him releasing the ball in 2.5 seconds or something like that and he's dinking and dunking the Jets to scores or FG position. IMO, that's EXACTLY the type of QB play we need. Mix it up with some rushes to the outside or delay plays instead of just pounding it between the tackles and hoping for a gap and you have yourself an offense...but what do I know...I only play Madden lol :P .

WE NEED TO DINK AND DUNK INSTEAD OF GOING CRAZY WITH THE PLAYCALLING OR RUNNING THAT STUPID SUSSMAN WILDCAT PACKAGE.

ARRRRGGGHHHHHHHH lol.

#101988 2017-18 MBB Schedule

Posted by Eli on 01 October 2017 - 09:54 PM

Was bored this off-season so I started spreadsheets to keep track of recruits, schedules, etc. over the years.

Did some number crunching today and here is our record since I became a fan and since our first arrival on the big stage in March (aka, the 2005-2006 campaign):

Since 2005-2006

Type Home/Away	W	L
OOC Home 46	16
		Away 44	60
Conference	Home 66	30
		Away 52	45
AE Tournament	Home 10	2
		Away 9	5
Post Season	Home 0	2
		Away 1	6

		Total 228	166

We go to the post season quite a bit but goodness, we can't win. Even the lesser tournaments.

* Post season = NCAA's, CBI, CIT, etc.
** I didn't delineate between away neutral site or away at someones place...if it wasn't at SEFCU, it's an away game (this includes the LCC games).
*** Pending I don't have a typo somewhere in an error, this *should* be accurate lol

Eli performed stellarly during the football game. Then this. Louisville, Kentucky.

Hahaha. I'll never live this down. Everywhere I go, I will see a red cardinal around the corner.

The FBI is investigating charges of fraud and corruption in the basketball program of a public university in Kentucky. Hmmm... http://www.courier-j...ting/703414001/

You mean Louisville, not Kentucky.

Louisville is in the state of Kentucky

Doh! Totally read that too fast as "University of Kentucky".

Major fail haha. Carry on...lol
