I look at this guy like a comedian. This is his "schtick". Its not based in reality. He formed his opinion years ago and he will never chance because if he does he'll have nothing to do with his life.

There are countless examples of athletes succeeding in the classroom. There are countless examples of scholarship athletes getting into and succeeding in a college they would not have otherwise been able to attend without the scholarship.

A bit off topic but still related to TU coverage....apparently not enough room on the banner to include the other local D1 hoops team when you are totally whoring yourself out to Sienna....

This is another example of a poor decision by a poor newspaper.
If it is supposed to be a preview of all area college basketball, the banner should say that instead implying that they are covering only the areas $iena school or giving preferential coverage to that $iena school and pissing off fans at all the areas better colleges and universities.

South Dakota
Siena's flight back to Albany from Boise, Idaho made an unscheduled stop here because of a medical emergency involving one of the passengers.


I can't wait until I until I get to South Dakota to see a baseball game as it is 1 of 5 states left on my list to see a baseball game. Now I have a tourist attraction to go to. "siena's plane landed here" .

I tend to agree. I gave them a 20 week trial on Thursday and Sundays since they made an offer I could not refuse. But I can't see continuing unless their coverage improves dramatically from the small timeness shown in this map and banner this week.

The TU guaranteed today that my 20 week trial subscription will not be renewed. I pay for news. I don't pay to have an "infomercial" on the front page of the whole paper instead of legitimate news.
