  1. I was wondering if anyone was thinking that, because I was. Their ppg avg has gone up. Rebounds are down slightly. Marshall is way more aggressive blocking shots and quite honestly this is the most athletic team I’ve seen here. Not sure if it’s bad chemistry, bad fit, getting overshadowed by Sebastian and Marshall, etc, etc. in any case, Beagle seemed to not advance from where he was last year. Maybe it was the ankle…worse than they let on? He’s still on the roster and the silence is odd. Truthfully, right now I think they miss Jackson more. I was certainly expecting big things from Beagle, but the transfer portal thing left a bad taste.
  2. I didn’t see it all, but their pace never let up. Decent D helped by turnovers and some atrocious shooting by UNH. Are they better, worse or the same without Beagle in the lineup?
  3. They keep getting their opponent’s A games…pulled out a gritty win. Terrific D by both teams but way too many TOs by the Lady Danes. Congrats! Big game on Saturday.
  4. Why would Margoupis stick around? I think next year will be a rag tag group of wannabes and never weres who are willing to play for a borderline AAU coach in order to get a scholly. I hope I’m wrong.
  5. Exactly. Colgate did well with unsettled situations. It really didn’t help that they were out of time outs. That likely contributed to a lack of a plan near the end.
  6. Just out of curiosity, why a neutral site game on Wed between Yale and Colgate? Better facility for winter night game?
  7. I watched the whole game. UA got off to a slow start, but then settled down. It’s funny, but watching the game it really looked like Colgate was dominating and yet the team stats don’t show that at all. It seemed like every time there was a scrum the Raiders would come out with the ball…but the GBs were even. The big thing was some unforced errors on passes that I think cost them the contest. Not a chippy game, but very aggressive D on both sides and the refs let them play. Lots of newbies as well. For a first game against what is clearly a good team with three games under their belts they did well.
  8. Ugly is right. There was a lid on for FTs. Shouldn’t have been this close. But they pulled it out. Did anyone have “Ladies win by 2 and men win by 25” tonight?
  9. Maybe I’ve got some rose colored glasses on at the moment, but that looks like a pretty good haul of new players. I like the RB additions who seem to be pretty speedy kids. Love Griff, but he needs help back there and we need a power back too. The QB group should have some great competition for time and some good size added to the two lines. Speedy, but not tall, receivers and any time I see FLA and St Thomas Aquinas in the Bios my heart goes fluttering. Andrewson is a mountain already. At some point the rigors of D1 coaching catch up to you and it looks like GG is making plans for a graceful exit. Despite the loss of talent, I think anything less than competing for. CAA championship next year would be a disappointment.
  10. Watched the whole thing. Bing came out energized and UA kept forcing passes. The coach got them straightened out at the break and they turned up the defensive heat. So nice to have a number of skilled players that can step up. Very nice game by Gabby F. The kids voices were great, but a bit shrill.
  11. The MBB season is pretty much swirling down the toilet with injury after injury, player MIA, ineffective coaching and phantom defense. Why bother with separate threads?
  12. There were shockingly few three pointers and the FT% was uncharacteristic for these players. Maybe some jitters or really good defense by the Cats.
