Take the University at Albany part off, put the rest on a hat or t-shirt, and i bet they sell like crazy.

Not sure how old, but I assume it was created @ the same time as the others that use that caricature of the Dane. Found it on this site:

Agree with Jammaster, I think you take out the University at Albany part..leave the UA with the Dane over it..Put THAT in the middle of Bob Ford Field and SEFCU.

I agree with df. I don't see a way to use the dog in a significant way. And I like what you just posted df. I've gotten use to UAlbany and at this point, people are probably starting to recognize it.

But UB is doing that right now. It's a lovely logo, but it doesnt stand out, doesn't separate us from our own SUNY brethren, let alone other schools outside of the state. Put the dog on top of it..now we're talking.

THE DOG IS FRICKEN STUPID. Yeah, I put that in caps. It looks like a cartoonish Great Dane, which in fact takes away from the very nature of what a Great Dane is: A statuesque tall and strong dog.

 

The logo looks like the Dane has shortened rear legs and looks like either a boxer or a terrier from a PURE BODY perspective (excluding the head).

How about all submit realistic ideas on how to help market the athletics department using existing resources (that doesn't involve "more money") and put together a white paper to send to the marketing guy in athletics, Voekler.

 

I think i have too much time on my hands at work.
