danes05
I find it to be the same deal with front row floor seats at basketball games. I've been in the 2nd row for years and can never get to the front. However the seats are rarely occupied.
Oldtimer
I sit in the gold seats. I too am disappointed about the empty gold seats. We all want to have a great product on the field. Alums must understand that you are not going to get something for nothing. A $1000 commitment isn't to get a gold seat, IT IS TO PROVIDE A DONATION FOR SCHOLARSHIPS TO PUT A QUALITY PRODUCT ON THE FIELD. HOWEVER!!! I would like to see the students allowed to sit in the unsold GOLD seats. The seats given to the students SUCK, YES--SUCK. If you want students to come to the game, why due you stick them at the ends of the stadium and on the berm???? They should have one side of the gold seats from the first level up through the second level---make it a true student section instead of sending them all over the stadium. I'm finished venting--hope not to offended anyone.
Eli
Lost revenue and most college kids are broke. However, still sell them at a discount or something maybe,
Oldtimer
I don't think the students should pay for the unsold Gold Seats--just let them sit there!!
danefan
I don't think the students should pay for the unsold Gold Seats--just let them sit there!! How about make it part of the DangerZone rewards program? Attend "x" number of athletic events and get upgraded to gold seats.

sarge965
Attendance for CCSU game of 6412 is 9th all time for a UA home game. Homecoming should be higher (sell out please) which will put all 3 home games in top 10 in attendance all time. Average announced attendance through 2 games is 7456. Yes we know there were closer to 11,000 a the first game. so far - If you build it.. Add another sellout for Homecoming - 8500 Average announced attendance through 3 games - 7804 Average announced attendance through 3 games last year - 5176 That is a bump of 2628 fans/game (announced) In 3 games we have outdrawn our total attendance from last year (2013/23412 to 2012/20021) Â I am pretty pleased with these numbers but we can do better
Clickclack
Winning a game would help.. Unfortunately this year is shot... Not much more to get excited about Edited October 20, 2013 by Clickclack
MRSGDG
Per GDG, this morning at the AA meeting Pres.Jones mentioned attendance for yesterday's game was a sellout and just below 9500. danefan
D Per GDG, this morning at the AA meeting Pres.Jones mentioned attendance for yesterday's game was a sellout and just below 9500. Â With that total we're averaging 9,204 for the year. 2 games left both likely to be in the 6,000 range or even less depending on whether. Â Two games at over 130% capacity is a success! IMO. Oldtimer
With New Hampshire and Maine coming in attendance could be fine BUT, weather will definitely be a factor. Just a comment on the atmosphere at Homecoming---the Football Alumni tent was busy, the Alumni buffet was overwhelmed, the 1844 Tent was real cool, all of the regulars tailgating well after the purple/gold--black/white scrimmage was really great. You didn't experience that feeling 50 years ago---IT WAS GREAT---what do you think? Knowing Coach Ford we will have a shot at both New Hampshire & Maine!! UAalum72
In 3 games we have outdrawn our total attendance from last year (2013/23412 to 2012/20021) Probably aren't any official numbers, but these three game almost surely total more than ANY single season in our history. UAalum72
Best 'promotion' for next week would be bright sunshine and a warmer afternoon. Extended forecast is partly cloudy and 51 degrees, so better than yesterday.
