The biggest Round of 64 upset will be … Albany over Oklahoma. Give me the Great Danes,who bring with them one of the best stories of the NCAA tournament. Albany's Peter Hooley hit the winning 3-pointer to send the team to the tournament. He left the program earlier this season for an extended hiatus to be with his cancer-battling mother, who died at the end of January.

If Albany beats Oklahoma, it will be one of the three biggest stories of next weekend.

The lowest-seeded school to make the Sweet 16 will be … Providence. Since I have Albany over Oklahoma, I think No. 6 Providence will get by either Boise State or Dayton, then beat Albany. You can make the case no program has a better true 1-2 punch than PC's Dunn and Henton.

I'd like our chances with a second shot at Providence, on a neutral court this time.

In my ESPN bracket, I have us getting to the sweet 16 heh. In the BPF bracket we will do, since I want that little 'title' under my username, I'll likely be less optimistic.

Facing a high seed is never easy...like all years, I'll be ecstatic if we can keep it under 10 and give the world a great showing by UA and the AE.

As a program now, I'm past the point of just hoping for "respect" and playing well. I want a win. It would certainly be a very big upset, but we have proven we can play well in big games, and play good teams very tough. By no means am I "expecting" a win, but certainly will not be happy with just playing them tough as in the past. We're a legit mid-major, and we will eventually strike gold in the tournament.

It's tough playing a team that does what you do but with BCS level athletes. Let's swing for the fences, maybe this is the year. Who knows but this is going to be extremely difficult.

No doubt it's going to be difficult. March Madness as a whole is difficult for every team, as is evident by the large number of upsets each year.

 

I'd rather play a team that plays like us that we can grind with.
