D-II National Championship

I don't know if anyone watched the D-II lacrosse championship yesterday, but it was a terrific game. LeMoyne beat Limestone 8-4. Limestone came in averaging 20 GPG and was defending champion

and LeMoyne held them to no goals for the last 33 min! Totally different lacrosse than UA. Heavy NY State contingent on roster and a couple of key players from the Capital District. Our neighbor's grandson is a defensive middy and a very good one. LeMoyne's goalie is a good one and at 6-0 225 was described by the NCAA announcer as a "Blaze Riordan" type. Their FO guy is a Hopkins transfer and is a 6-1 245 pound stud. The Limestone face-off guy was one of the best in the country but he got bested yesterday. Amazing the LAX talent in this state...and they don't all wind up at UA, Syracuse and Cornell. BTW, this was LeMoyne's 5th title in the last 13 seasons and they finished 20-0.
