Recruiting - 2018

Recommended Posts

I think we are good at the SF position. Another guard would be nice to have in the mix, provided Fromm or Malachi de Sousa aren't going to get time at the guard spot.

This will be an interesting off-season for Ahmad Clark. I think he has as much talent as anyone in the conference but never got things going in the right direction last year. The door is pretty much wide open for this to be his team next year.

Antonio Rizzuto -

Player of the year

Antonio Rizzuto, Northeastern, 6-3, sr.: Solidified his standing as one of the best players to come out of York County with another stellar season. He averaged a YAIAA-best 23.4 points per game, knocking down 61 percent of his shots inside the arc. A two-time GameTimePA first-team all-star, he sank a YAIAA-best 102 3-pointers and knocked down 44 percent of those attempts. He also averaged eight rebounds per contest. Undercut while attempting a layup in the postseason, he played in the final six games of his career with a fractured tailbone. He finished his career with 1,565 points, ranking third on the school's all-time list. Rizzuto has signed to play at the University at Albany.

It looks like he would have to sit a year unless he was granted a waiver. Looks like he could be a steal if he came. One of those kids that would be a star in the AE from day one, but not get a lot of playing time at a school like Seton Hall till he was a junior or senior.

Verbal commits also shows a Marquette offer before he signed at Seton Hall. His ESPN recruiting page showed a lot of interest from some real big programs...

He would need to sit a year.  I have followed this player a little.  He has had at least a couple of surgeries on the lower parts of his body. Seemed to have slowed him down a bit.

John Rothstein says he wouldn't have to sit a year.

Unless it's a hardship I give up trying to figure out the transfer thing. He played in 20+ games last year and is not a senior transfer. Under the transfer rules he would need to sit.
