A user on the unofficial FB group is stating her boyfriend made an account ages ago and wasn't able to sign in.

 

3 days ago, he made a new account and still can't do anything.

Can you take a look at the pending/new users and see if anything is amiss? Thanks!

I believe new users need to confirm registration. I have been told by a few folks that they've given up trying to register, two UB fans and then a few others over the years.

I do recall having to click on an email link...I'll mention that.

Okay, so I went ahead and created a test account (eli_testaccount) and this was the process:

1) Sign up on page. Use valid email and answer the security question properly (SEFCU Arena worked)

2) You get an email with a validation link (2nd link in the email)

3) Upon clicking the validation email, the following message is displayed: Thank you eli_testaccount. Your registration has been successful. The administrator wishes to preview all new registered accounts before posting permissions are granted. The administrator has been notified of your registration.

So looks like just a matter of cleaning up the new user queue.

You can delete that test account.

Thanks Eli. I've cleaned up some of the validating members who had registered with Yahoo accounts. They were filtered out.

 

I also impressed that someone's girlfriend would help their boyfriend get on a sports message board
