not sure if anyone saw video from the practice, but listen to what Brown says to Nichols. He also seems to mention this message board. But this goes to the other thread about Brown...this dude is a great coach, don't care what anyone says (and that's with him blocking me on Twitter for some reason...not sure what I ever said or did).

I saw it, not sure he knew he was being recorded. The guy clearly cares about his kids, deeply. It's not wonder they go through a wall for him.

Chris O posted it, I'm guess he was "mic;ed up" for the Saturday show.

Interesting that "not listening to the message boards" was mentioned.

David, if you do ever read this, please stop. Don't mind us armchair quarterbacks. Listen to your coaches, your teammates, and yourself. As Brown stated, the team doesn't get where it did without you. Us fans care about the team and you. All of us have opinions that aren't worth squat.

Keep on being the man. We can't wait to see you continue to improve and continue to be the man!

This. We are definitely arm chair quarterbacks and we are very emotionally vested in this so we tend to fly off the handle at the slightest thing *raises hand*. We all respect and wish the players the best on all courts and in all games...just heat of the moment posting here sometimes from most members.

It still makes no sense to me how Nichols' took the brunt of the loss. Those are the ones that are probably focusing only on the 6-25.

Cremo seems to get a free pass since he's the local hero. He's suppose to be the team captain, gym rat, etc. but missed the most important free throw when the game was tied, drove to the basket wildly down three, and couldn't stay out of foul trouble in the first half. I'm not trying to turn this into a blame game, but it's gotta go both ways if people are going to criticize.

Interesting indeed. And more interesting he said "the message board" and not boards. I don't know any other UA message board.

As for the blame game, they are a team. Win as a team and lose as a team. No one person lost that game. The team lost that game to a REALLY good team. None of it matters now. Focus is on tonight!

To much is being made of all of this...no one here hung this kid out to dry. Yes, few passing comments were made but no one went postal on David.

I doubt he cares much...Everyone here knows he's a critical part of this team. Because of how important he is, yes, he many times players a critical role in our success.

We would be getting ready to go to the BIG DANCE (NCAA tourney) right now instead of playing in a BACKYARD BBQ (CIT TOURNEY)!!!!! Seriously! Brown is ABSOLUTELY right!! We would NOT be in this position (CIT Tournament) if it wasnt for Nichols! We would be playing in the NCAA tourney, actually, which is a once in a lifetime opportunity for many student athletes who sacrifice all their time, energy, and effort being part of a TEAM to get to the big dance. Truth hurts! We had this game put away!! And from SOLELY a basketball perspective, this UA team would have been in the NCAA tournament if Nichols SHARED the ball with ALL his teammates during the championship game. He DID play hero ball ALL GAME!!! There is no I in team (as he CHUCKED up shots from EVERY angle imaginable, shooting 6 for 25 in a game that counted most for this UA team all year (an abysmal 1-9 from the arc and only THREE (3) assists in 34 minutes). No ONE on the team took more than 7 shot attempts in a 40 minute game because Nichols refused to share the ball!! Nichols took more shots than almost the whole TEAM COMBINED, as the team took 53 shot attempts, and a WHOPPING 25 shot attempts were taken by Nichols as a POINT GUARD!! Awful!!!! During the first half of the championship game, he already put up 15 shots (at least 1/3 (5) of them MONSTROUSLY blocked by UVM), which should be a maximum number of shot attempts for ANY point guard!! Period! A TRUE POINT GUARD does whatever it takes to WIN & when he realized his game was off by the 2nd half, he shouldve involved ALL his teammates in getting to the hoop more as Cremo did, even though Cremo was not having a good offensive game. UAs inside game was SUPERIOR as we were defending phenomenally and getting stops against UVM while offensively taking charge, EXTREMELY effectively, inside the paint!! (Review the replays and game on ESPN). At the end of the day EVERYONE on this team suffers at the hands of one individual! And thats a fact!! 2017 is a year for the history books that will ALWAYS be remembered as one where we lost a potential championship because of SELFISH point guard play in a game when it counted the most!!! Say what you want but this is a comment SOLELY about basketball and every player on this team sacrificed to get to the chip! Unfortunately, our opportunity for a birth to the NCAA tourney was stripped and taken away as Nichols selfishly shot us OUT of the tournament!

That's some first post...

You put a lot of effort into this post eh? Some serious dedication involved here.
