2017-18 MBB Schedule

Recommended Posts

I still would not consider them a high mid, but fair enough. They are a solid team with a more winning tradition than UA for sure.

BPG would probably have to be 2/3 against NH, 2/24 against Maine? Those are the Sat. home games, unless they would do it on a Sunday against UMBC?

Will was on Wyland today. Mostly promoting Coaches vs. Cancer (he wanted to hold it at SEFCU but Patsos wouldn't give him a home-and-home :D ).

Didn't catch all of it, but later he discussed the schedule some. Scheduled tough because we're experienced now, will rethink that in two years. Yale's Makai Mason, a fourth-year guy who missed all of last year, has already committed to Baylor for his fifth year - Ivy League doesn't allow redshirts.

Devonte Campbell is our most improved player. This could also be Travis Charles' year. Doesn't see any newcomers taking a starting role this year.

Any link to listen to it?

Campbell being most improved is excellent news. This time last year, Will was saying that he was the name that everyone would know by the time the conference schedule began.

The only newcomer I saw potentially getting into a starting role would have been Foster. Any word on him?

Sounds like they are thinking about sliding Charles into that starting spot vacated by Mike. That would add a little more firepower to our starting five. Didn't realize Travis Charles was our third leading scorer without starting a game. I remember Zack Bye advocated him starting last year on the radio.

I'd have to think Alex Foster and Matt Conway would have an early advantage just because they're a bit older and more experienced than the Aussie big guys.

Issue always was (at least imo) the touch fouls committed by Charles and Stire. Need to keep them on the floor this year, gotta position themselves better on D. Nothing wrong with hard fouls, it's when you get caught reaching as a big man cutting off the lane or on the baseline you get killed.

The UAlbany-Memphis game on December 12th will air to a national audience on ESPNU, announced on Friday.

The game, which will be played at 9 p.m. ET (8 p.m. CT), is part of the Gotham Classic. Memphis is serving as host for this contest at the FedExForum.

Last week, it was announced that the UAlbany-Louisville game on December 20th will also air on ESPNU.

The FBI is investigating charges of fraud and corruption in the basketball program of a public university in Kentucky. Hmmm... http://www.courier-journal.com/story/news/2017/09/26/university-louisville-college-basketball-fbi-sting/703414001/

You mean Louisville, not Kentucky.
