This game is a welcome distraction ... considering what is going on in men's basketball  ... in the stands on Saturday

Saw that - WOW!

Does Marr not realize that if he said Fields was playing, the lax fans on this board would kidnap Fields tomorrow morning and return him after the game?  Lol

TU article says Diamond will start for Fields.  Didn't know he was a 2-time All American in FL and has been patiently waiting and learning from Fields.   Can see him starting next year.  Justin Reh may not play.   Injured in Harvard game.  Laffin may start for him.  Looks like Tehoka time!!  Paterson and McClancy should be firering away too.

Should be fine in this game - give injuries a week to heal.

Justin has looked banged up for awhile. This will be a great opportunity for Davis and Mitch to step up. I am guessing Laffin will see a short stick and he will have to make Stony Brook pay for that and Patterson and McClancy will both see poles. I bet that is the play going forward against Albany even when Justin is back in there.

We’ll probably need to see more consistent production from Eccles and the Burgmaster’s. They all have great outside shots.

I like Diamond in there.  A view into the future.    I don't think Connor's knee is that big a deal.  Swelling has gone down.  He was seen walking on campus with no limp??????????  alum 73 above "Saw Fields today on campus.  He was walking without a limp, which I took as a good sign."    A PROPER tape job would help - as I said the last game I saw him taking an ace bandage off his kee at half time.    I hate to say it but MANY doctors have no clue how to deal with sports injuries.  Don't know the doctor they have on the sideline though.  I have seen many football players with far worse injuries play with proper tape.  Hell I played on an ankle I severely injured a few days before our first game my senior year, and the entire season.  Not saying he should be playing but...................  And you guys can yell at me if you like.

I LIKE the starting attack of Laffin-Diamond-Nanticoke with Patterson 4th attack. soph-soph-fresh-soph. Rest the old guys! Good time to unleash the kids. Davis +130 goals +180 assist in high school--terrific passer. Unless they suffer a case off the nerves {and I DO NOT think they will}, I expect this group to unload a barrage of goals on brook. And if I am wrong, our D and midfield still has more than enough to handle brook. PREDICTION: BLOW-OUT WIN UA.

ps. also note Nanticoke and Laffin know each other very well; played together @ IMG and on Native American teams/clubs.

Considering the new moving parts, take the win.  Defense did play a bit sloppy in 2nd quarter.   Tehoka had some pretty assists but he still trys to split 2 guys and turns it over too many times.  Diamond and Laffin were ok, nothing exciting.  Paterson I thought could have done more.  TD did not lose a FO so with all those possessions,  the outcome should have been decided earlier.   Move on to UMBC.

About what I expected. it was really windy at the stadium today.

Tehoka 6 turnovers. He had some nice plays, but that is rough. Hopefully he learns from it and gets coached up.

Eccles was like 1 or 10 shooting.

Besides TD, I want to see the ground ball stats. We were not great on loose balls, especially around JD.

I need to watch the game again, but I think 3-4 of SB's goals came from plays where we whiffed on a ground ball or slid to a ghost and gave up an easy look. I'll have to ask, but still don't understand what we are doing on the very early slides. I hope we don't play a team like Denver.
