Is WNYT and Roger Wyland creating "Fake" news?

Rodger and Will seem like friends. Although it seems leaking the Cremo Nichols story caused a rift, I wouldn't be surprised if the Brown to Siena stuff was planned as leverage with UA. We are in the backhanded political world of the NYS capital where dirty tricks rule the day.

We will see how this plays out. I've got my popcorn in hand.

They might consider playing D2. Its about at their talent level and they can argue with St. Rose over a home and home arrangement.

As the person that started this topic ... I like to thank everyone for their comments.  Further, I want to thank the Times - Union for their straight forward articles about UAlbany Basketball and the Siena struggles with finding a new men's basketball coach.  The Times Union seems to understand the importance of venting and disclosing the story sources.  In my opinion, some one could learn a lesson from this.

I'm not the biggest Wyland fan...though I do listen to him on a regular basis, but this story to me really comes across like sour grapes.  The man was right. He does seem to get the big stories first.

This guy seems to be a sore loser. Must be drinking the Siena kool-aid.

Not sure how I feel about any of it. Wyland was loose with it, but he was correct...so it's sort of a get over it situation. Didn't like how he handled the Cremo news for Albany either, but whatever. Times Union loves them some Siena. Only reason I didn't like him leaking the Siena news Thursday really has nothing to do with Siena. Don't like the fact that the MSM players probably had to find out their coach was leaving on social media. Deal was probably in place without specifics. From what I heard there was only a buyout if he went to an A10 school or a Power 6 school, then again I also heard at one point that boosters were taking care of the buyout instead of the schoolsso they were figuring that out.

May have figured out a shady way to take care of the buyout so no one has to pay taxes on it. May have really been no buyout. Tough situation for MSM if they really lost him to no buyout.

Only funny part to me is people are making this out like Wyland is trying to screw over Siena because of his Albany connection. So then why did he leak the Cremo news? Because of his Siena connection?

That is a pretty weak article especially given that his colleague mark s is supposed to be covering $iena. The next time he is first or right will be the first time in his career :)
