Arizona thought they scored the tying goal with ten seconds left, but it was waved off for offsides

Mariah Williams scores at 35', Albany leads New Mexico State at the half 1-0.

Williams scores a second goal at 60'. NMSU gets one at 86', but Katie Gowing gets it back at 88'.

Albany wins 3-1.

NMSU had lost to San Diego State 1-0 in the opener, was ranked only 11 spots higher than Albany last year at a mediocre 9-10-2. But a win's a win. Good start to the season.
