[MBB] Game #6: 11/23/18 - 8PM @ Milwaukee

Attendance was 952 (8.8% of capacity)

Coach mentioned it was cold (hockey arena), maybe a little tired, need more from the bench.

Puk played one year for Durham, England, didn’t touch a ball for two years, now playing in an ex-college league in Madison with some ex-UW guys, is still studying for his optometry (?) school

Sucks that his bball career didn't quite pan out but he's going to be one MASSIVE optometrist lol.

Stats tracker:

We cannot allow teams to have such high FG/3PT%'s and expect to win. We get them some 50% and we probably win the game. They shot lights out and only won by 9.

I think the pieces are there for a successful conference campaign. They look great at times, but still rugged at others. I’m sure coach has no shortage of learn from your mistakes video. The flagrant was the real killer, but I do believe it was warranted...intentional or not. Very athletic team was UWM.

I am starting to fear a repeat of last year. Obviously not record wise; but what looked like a deep bench has been almost nil. When Rizzuto and Flory(IF) return may be the depth with pan out? The other similarities that are getting me nervous:  no/poor perimeter D;  all/most of our offense come from two people and if one struggles or is inconsistent (aka Clark = Nichols) we're in trouble;  and Campbell still can't hit the broad side of a barn {shooting marginally better overall, but 2 for 10 yesterday.} Was not so much of a problem last year with Stire and Charles, but this year we have to be leading the country on having shots BLOCKED; [I know a lot of the blocks are against our guards, but the bigs also seem to be eating the ball a lot.]

Not panicking  YET;  just saying even though it is only six games in and I know I know the team is young, I am seeing some fearful things I do not like.

Normally I would be 100 percent with you, but because this team is sooo young I am willing to given them a pass until conference play begins. We are not going to beat Vermont this year so I would redshirt the 2 injured players. The conference is again not strong so I'm hoping for the team to mature a little bit more and make a good run during conference play .

For those of us who sat in SEFCU to  three games, have been thinking the same thing.  The flagrant was a game changer however during the first half they showed they can turn things around. Can we get the kinks out 01-01-2019?
