And did I miss something or did Healy ask to be called Cambo or did Roger invent that?

Last week Rodger said Cambo was his nickname in Australia, but so far only Coach Iati called him that here. So of course Rodger decided he likes it

So Rizzuto just strolls into the 9th game of the season and, after not playing a minute of D1 basketball drops 13 pts, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. If there are any other Rizzuot/Iatis out there we should totally offer them a scholarship. Also, nice find of Fruscio to set up his score.

Best game of the year for Hank.

I'm not sure what the MAAC did to Ahmad Clark but had 30 against Canisius and 29 against Monmouth.

There were stretches of Ahmad and four frosh out there. That's a good sign.

The zone in the first half was interesting. Made rebounding tough though.

Monmouth is good for what ails you but a solid step in the right direction.

Couldn't attend this game as my wife was flying back from the Motherland so I was on my way back from NYC. Looks like I missed a fun one. Just got done watching the replay.

- Excellent game for Hank. Nice to see him pounding down low and getting some opportunities and converting. Anything we can get from our bigs is great. Even Lulka did a little bit.
- Clark must have been passed over by the MAAC cause he's gashed both teams we've faced. LCC is lucky we're not playing this year lol.

Watch the kid drop 15 in 20 minutes off the bench. You heard it here first!

(if this doesn't happen, this message will self destruct at the conclusion of the game)

- RIZZUTO! I almost called it (13 in 23 minutes - lol) after Brown talked him up so much all pre-season, etc. (and I believe the rumor was that he was our best player PERIOD). He's going to need a few games to get his legs and get the chemistry but if tonight is any indication, by seasons end, guy will definitely be top fiddle. I love how he's 'all in' every play and has a high motor to go along with his great abilities. Can't wait to see more of him.

After the game I'm thinking of starting a poll. Who is worse right now Campbell or our head football coach. Think long and hard , bc right now it's a toss up.

I know he hit some big buckets late but this guy is definitely the BB version of Gattuso lol. In the sense that he'll do juuusssttt enough to keep him around but you can't depend on him for anything of importance (like GG winning the last game lol). He'll have one game where he hits a few buckets and we're all like, okay, maybe he's turned the corner and then he'll follow it up with 5 games of shooting 25% and being a liability on the floor. As Click has said multiple times, I don't even think he's that good defensively. I think Brown plays him because he's an upperclassmen and feels loyal to him considering that Nichols and Cremo left him high and dry. I think if Campbell was playing like he did last year or this year and was only a sophmore, he'd be glued to the bench.

Cuz Rodger is the ultimate follower...

He's a tool.

I was remarking myself all first half, "WTH is Roger saying? Cambone? Hambone? Cambo?" Stop it Roger. Stop trying to make it cool. I'm guessing it's a play on Rambo? What's the link between Cameron and Rambo? Don't get it.

Roger truly is terrible. At one point he said, 'paints in the point' instead of 'points in the paint'. He's gotten the score wrong a few times. I'm glad I get to attend home games and not listen to this guy regularly. I'd rather listen to Onorato doing the play-by-play and let Roger do the color. He should go back to being a full-time sports journalist and reading the sports news from a teleprompter on the 10 o'clock news.

We got killed on the boards which is VERY rare for us (for many years running). We are traditionally +5-10 on people on the boards.

I thought French played fairly well, but we didn't see him at all in the second half. I'm not sure if Lauderdale got in the game at all (not counting the last minute). Anyone have any info on them?

I was gonna mention this last night but forgot. I guess Brown saw our lineup was cookin to the start the 2nd and didn't really want to change it to get others involved.

I used to have a boss who called me Jimbo. There’s no link between me and Rambo that I’m aware of. Think Rob Schneider from SNL in the sitting by the copier recurring sketch. The Caminator. The Camerista. So why not Cambo? You’re right though, Rodger does try to be cool. What drives me crazy about all sports commentators these days is all the phrases they use that sound ridiculous. Like “that kid really knows how to score the basketball”. Or in golf, “He’s always been a great ball striker.” Striking the ball is pretty much the whole game of golf in a nutshell.

That does it. If we are sitting together next year at FB you will now be called Jambo to go with Roger's theme 🤣.

According to Google, Jambo is a Swahili word which is the equivalent of “hello.” So that would be very efficient as saying “hello Jambo” would be redundant. So just a hearty Jambo would get the job done. Must be careful of running afoul of cultural   appropriation outrage. 😁
