Came across this and it's crazy to me : A $21.1 million renovation of the Stony Brook University Arena was announced with $20 million provided by the State of New York and an additional $1 million provided by private donations.

I had no idea the state paid for 20 of the 21 million for stony Brooks arena. It's crazy that we can't get one given that.  Has to be a reason and it's not down state bias either .

They had a sugar daddy and yes they built that thing almost entirely with state funding. We on the other hand have 5+mill and can't to it... It sucks.

Correct since Sen. LaValle was the Higher Ed Chair..you know the one the SB Football stadium is named after..... (no longer chair since the Senate flipped)

If we dont make a greater commitment to atheltics then absolutely, only because there is nothing really left to accomplish at out level. 

Really not impressed with Benson. Would love to be a fly on the wall in the athletic department.
