Kid was great all night. I would still take Jon Iati in a three point shooting contest over him though. Iati, Iati, Aronholt, Gallup, Cremo could all stroke it too. He is definitely in that elite class though. Gallup might be the best now that I think of it. He could hit from any where once he crossed half court!

Iati's, Aronhalt I can see. Never saw Gallup I don't think (I started coming full-time Wilson's senior season) but Cremo? I don't remember Cremo as being a knock down 3pt shooter like Healey or the Iati's.

The TU lists the attendance at 3,891. That improvement in spectators and a win will hopefully strengthen the team.

Crowd was great today. It's amazing how fun and loud a place like SEFCU is when it's almost full. I wish it was like that every game :(.

On attendance note...I guesstimated 850 last game at UNH. Guess how many they actually had...

Healy was 9-15 from 3. Rest of team 3 of 17.

Best part about Healy is that all the other elements of his game are falling into place. He also had double digit rebounds, a couple of assists and steals. More than just a shooter.

I liked that we had a double digit win AND I left Sefcu annoyed with the way we played against the Bing zone. It was like we were handed a rubik's cube every time down the floor.

I am not sure how it came to be; but at the B&G scrimmage when the kids come into the stands, I got to spend a few minutes with Flory. He said he was "DEFINITELY" playing this year. I did not even ask him if he was, only wished him well. It was like he was pouring his heart out to me, a complete stranger. I was impressed by his intensity and desire, but a little confused why he was even making this declaration to me (as I said a complete stranger.) I am devastated for the kid.

I had a similar conversation and I feel the same way.

Cremo shot 46% from 3 last year.

Fair enough...but he did it on more than 2 less shots a game than Healey. Therefore, Healey is far more impressive IMO. And Healey plays defense where as Cremo played James Haren defense...no d.

No "D" in JOE.

Great performance by Healey tonight. Been turning in solid performance after solid performance all year.

Whats with the seats being rolled up on the end line?

For one of the games they got stuck so they put the gdac area over there for that one game. Then they kept the gdac area over there during winter break since there weren't any students. And now it seems like they're going to keep it that way since people who donate like that area better. It has its pluses and minuses for example it's good to have students next to the visitors bench as well as the band. And look at the big purple growl you had a ton of students having no place to sit because their seats were gone and they were sitting in season-ticket chair backs and then had to get kicked out every other second. But you know it's all about the money 😉

Teams will guard Healey closely going forward.

That's fine. That means Clark and Rizzuto will have more room to operate and passing may get easier inside to Hank and Lulka. You can't guard everyone close.

Hank and Lulka still with stone hands. .

This is a real issue for sure. These two CAN be serious players for us; especially Lulka, but do not discount how good Hank can be if he could hang onto an inside pass and lock-up every rebound he gets to. Lulka is making great progress in becoming the next Rowley  (Sam that is) and if he ever starts hitting the 3 he supposedly has, put him in the Brent Wilson category. But both of these guys need to find a remedy to the "stone hands" syndrome.

OK you coaches, doctors, trainers, physical therapists:  Any thoughts what if anything can be done to improve hand strength/grip/hold?????

My take. We went stale once Clark was sitting. Hated to see Lulka patrol from the perimeter. Little penetration until.. Clark re entered the game and became an effective foul line post.  I think getting the ball in that position was something new( and good) , which  may explain the poor shooting.  Surprised he didn't take it strong to the hoop ever so often.

Give Healy an open shot and he will convert. Glad to see him and the other guards attacking the boards for rebounds. Both Lulka and Hank must get stickier hands and stop putting the ball to the floor when a strong move up will do. Lulka can be a beast and looked great on some of the short layins. Rizzuto labored except he was intense on defense. All together a decent effort against a so-so team.

Lauderdale is a smart player and helped both the defense and rebounding. Dev should  position himself down low. AT 6-6 in the AE, you can gather bounds and a few chip ins. Notwithstanding the stats offered about his shooting percentage, he should fog up a three pointer only in the rarest situation like the clock running out. Hey, we got three sharp shooting guards.

Not sure what happened to Malachi. He was on the floor when Ahmad was out and he looked confused. We need to get him fired up.

That was fun to watch. Except for the atrocious midrange shooting. 10-15’ uncontested jumpers should be almost automatic for D1 scholarship players. I love Healey’s enthusiasm and Rizzuto’s intensity and fire. Lulka needs some nasty (and hands...did I mention hands?) anyway....fun.

Agree with everything!

The mid range shooting was almost impossibly or comically bad. But I would let Clark take that shot every time. I thought the team eventually solved bingo's zone, when they put Clark in that 10-15 area and consistently passed it into him. Even though he kept missing the shot, it was IMHO a good strategy and I am confident Clark will make the mid range shot 80-90% of the time [yesterday's atrociousness was a fluke IMHO.]
