Wow, De Sousa! Nice football throw. We found our QB for the fall.

It was a great pass...and a BIG TIME road win for a young group.

That said, I really like the battle we will have between the JUCO QB, Nyc Burns, and Jeff Undercuffler.  I liked Jeff A LOT at the end of the year, for a true frosh he was very composed.

Post game radio, Will said he started the five Freshmen because Clark has to up his game, said Clark handled it well. Mariano (the other radio guy) mentioned how the offense came to a stop when Clark was in.

When they kept saying five freshmen, the phrase Diaper Dandies crossed my mind. I don't know if I feel like using it.

Another round of cider donuts in the athletic dept. tomorrow.

In the ESPN postgame, Will said he hopes UMBC is feeling good about themselves Saturday.

Do you think the replay will be available after the internet is back up or is this game gone forever. I'm out so wouldn't care if I had to wait until it's over to watch it but I doubt it will be available.

No, replay is up and begins 10 minutes in with the score 20-17

Thanks, I watched it.  What an awesome win!  I know I'm a broken record but I really like this core and think they will be really good in the years to come.  Nice to see De Sousa and Lauderdale get a lot of minutes.

Nice road win against a team with already 20 wins is always great. Not sure if the last inbound play where De Sousa was a designed play or he decided on his own to heave it down court with 2 seconds left. We were out of time outs and no one was open. Great play by him and Campbell.

We live and die by the three, but that's pretty much in line with the rest of college basketball.

Brown in one of his interviews, said De Sousa in the time out said "don't worry coach, I GOT the pass." Im am not sure if Brown was kidding or the kid called the play; either way nice play and boise by the freshman. Even though he did not score a point yesterday, the confidence he exhibited yesterday even before "the pass" is/was inspiring. Malachi WILL be a star in this league!

As for Clark he needs to spend the off-season working on his dribble, passing and most important sit in front of a Basketball IQ Building Program of some sort. He has got skills and comes from a high school that breeds NBAers. I think he played with 4 who are currently there or expected soon. Maybe the teams he played with were SO good they hid or compensated for his mistakes??????? I hate to give up on the kid and IMHO Brown is making the right decision by benching him until he starts living up to his abilities {even though the benching yesterday did not seem to help Clark play better/smarter; but at least it seemed to help the rest of the team.}

  • Thanks 2
