I read their game time forum.  They think we are slow, no run game and throw only slants and Jeff will be on his back all day....... And they will pound us.  Maybe, but...... I agree with JIMBO!

Only slants? They must not have a clue of what we are because I WISH we only threw slants. I've been yelling for more slants for 6 years!

DanePound, some of their fans are trying to create accounts.  Let them in!

Yes! They seem upset! Must have been the middle-of-nowhere comment lol. What...do they have 2 red lights on the main strip as opposed to 1 (think of the cartoon Cars).

I kid, I kid.

I'm perfectly happy with where we are and won't be upset if we lose (unless we lose by shooting ourselves in the foot badly where we let a win get away). If we lose (blown out or otherwise), no big deal, we weren't supposed to be there. If they lose (in any fashion), they are going to have a TERRIBLE winter and spring. CAA being down and all (their words). I love these types of games...go out swinging and just ball ya'll!

Anyone know how we will be watching this game? I don't see any info RE: ESPN3, ESPN+, Flo, etc.

Let them talk and bash away. Hopefully the team will shut them all up come Saturday. Mofor didn't have a great game today but did lead the conference in rushing yards. Green leads FCS in receiving TDs, JU broke the record for TDs by a freshman, Mencer had 12.5 sacks, etc.  Our team is good and that should be our focus.  Let them talk!

Have to correct myself. Mencer has 14.5 sacks.

All playoff games next week are ESPN3.

It’s nice to know Montana St fans are checking out the board. Just a brief recap for you.  We had a couple of very down years. No QB play worth mentioning so it was a constant struggle to get points. Most of us were ready to chuck the coach overboard.  Then a 6-5 HS QB and pitcher arrived....did he ever.  So it’s fun to talk a little smack again.  When your team is picked to finish dead last in the conference and is now going to Rd 2 of the playoffs, this season has been a crashing success already. We’ve only been a full 63 scholarship program since 2013 and a D1 school since the 90s. So we don’t have the 100+ year traditions of the Cats and the Griz. So for us, we are going to enjoy the fact that our Danes will be playing a meaningful game in DECEMBER for the first time ever. And maybe, just maybe, if they put it all together and get some breaks, they can go out to Big Sky country and steal one...while the burglars are busy....

Perfectly stated!

"The Great Danes (9-4) earned the first NCAA playoff victory in their 20-year Division I history, just a year after they finished last in the Colonial Athletic Association."  Key phrase, of this "...20 year Division I History,..."

Interesting read over on the Danes site. So far my impression is we a bunch of over confident fans living in a middle of nowhere cowtown waiting on the super volcano to erupt, but at least we have elevation.

Really? Upstate NY thinks we're a cowtown in the middle of nowhere? That's rich. I really hate east coasters sometimes.

Yep. Confirmed upset.

Lighten up, Francis. :D

I can't wait for this game, regardless of result. I have never experienced a UA game that even remotely approaches the level of UA/Siena on the hardwood in my 6 years of being a season ticket holder. I LIKE IT. Not sure why they can't join the site...maybe they are still on 28.8kbps dialup out there with 20 free AOL hours? (that's a joke for you Bozeman lurkers)

Fun little exercise to compare the teams. I'm no Eli so I couldn't really get things to line up.

Some things to note. They are a very heavy run first team. We passed a lot more than them this season.
3316 yards passing for us vs 1990 for them. Rushing yards 3241 for them vs 1780 for us.
We do have the 9th best rusher yards wise in FCS where as they use much more of a RB by committee approach.

UA
Mofor: 1239
James: 593

MSU
Logan Jones: 788
Isaiah Infanse: 518
Travis Jonsen: 432

I keep reading on their site that they will get heavy ammounts of pressure on Undercuffler.
That might happen but I was expecting better sack stats than 17th in the country from what I was reading.
Only two more sacks than we got all season.

They have Bryce Stark who had 13.5 sacks this year, another guy with 6.5 sacks and 33 overall sacks as a team.
We have Mencer with 14.5 and 31 total as a team.

I'll let you guys analyze the rest...

Forgot to add Green had 1263 yards receiving (4th in FCS) and 16 TDs (1st in FCS) as well as Reeves with 886 yards and 6 TDs.

Their leading WR has 671 yards and 3 TDs.

I don't mean this in a bad way because they are obviously a VERY good team but seem very one dimensional on offense according to the season stats. Have to try to force them to pass the ball. I'm sure every team has tried it so easier said than done.

Massey picks MSU by 8 points, gives us 24% chance. Their SOS is 152, ours 164, so not as big a difference as most have been talking. (Sagarin SOS 164 vs 169)

That's interesting on the SOS since on their site it seems they think they've played a much harder schedule.

I just hope for a good game that we have a chance and ultimately win at the end.  :P

I can see thinking that, looking at Bryant and Lafayette, but RealtimeRPI (before playoffs) has our SOS 183, them 217.

Also Undercuffler played in front of 14K at Delaware and was on the bench at Pitt, so I don't think the crowd will be a problem....especially if he shuts them up.
