Stats don't always tell the story and the kid is REALLY good but he made him work hard for his points.  I just felt watching the game he was all over him.

With Malachai guarding Smith we didn't have to help off him as much and I think that made our overall D much better. Remember in the 1st half  half of their points came off turnovers so that's not Malachai's fault.

Maine beat Columbia 75-72 last night. Darwich hit a layup to tie the game at 65 with 1 second remaining to send the game to OT. Then with 4 seconds left in OT Columbia hit a layup to tie the game at 72, but Flemming hit a 3 just before the buzzer to win by 3.

That's two heartbreaking losses at the end of a game by Columbia. Not sure if that says more about their inability to close out a game, or more about UA being on par with Maine right now.

And if UA is on par with Maine, and with the number of wins Bing and UNH have had in the OOC, then UA will struggle in the AE more than we thought without those cupcake wins we used to get vs the bottom dwellers.

Gonna start to find out tomorrow...Bing is not a good team, ranked 310, almost 100pt below us but it's a road game where we are favored by only 2pts.

It'll be interested to see where Mike Smith ends up next year. He had a medical redshirt and the Ivy League doesn't allow fifth-year seniors so he'll be a grad transfer somewhere.

The Ivy seems to lose a lot of talent every year with that rule.
