Has gone final Stony Brook wins 81 - 77....Vermont fell apart at the end... Three point festival by both teams.

That was fun to watch. I was hoping for overtime .

Vermont got every good bounce and whistle you could hope for in the last minute or five.

Hmmm.  The Brook came back and beat UVM in Burlington tonight.  Lamb with 23 on 6 of 15 and Smith had 31 but no other help.  Maybe they are not as complete as we thought or SBU is an up and comer and a force to bring down UVM's supposed coronation to the  title.

Can we hope for a blizzard on game day and league calls it a draw due to travel issues?

Despite my concern about defending against Stony Brook and Vermont; both teams made mistakes and poor plays.  Perhaps, we will get lucky and all are players will be healthy.

Right now both Brook and Vermont beat us 9 times out of 10. They are both more athletic and just better basketball teams.

We would need to play a complete, mistake free game to beat them. Something we have not done all year.

Better yes, more athletic... SBU yes...not sure how you can conclude UVM is more athletic then we are.

Vermont beyond Stef and Lamb has some serious issues on the horizon, nothing inside beyond Lamb, perimeter shooting all season has been a huge problem. Davis has regressed as the season has gone on, two BCS transfers in Giddens and Demuth are bad basketball players. Demuth in particular looks like he's barely a D1 player and they red-shirted Powel (artist formally known as Moll) for reasons no one can understand.

Honestly that was a big initial salvo by SBU across UVM's bow...was very very impressed by Brook, going to be a very difficult out, play very very hard, very athletic and long. Not ready to move them above UVM but that was a significant road win.

In my opinion right now SBU is better then UVM.

They went in to Patrick and beat UVM, if the win was at SBU I would have UVM still on top.

UVM has not been playing  as efficient as it was early in the season (long season things can surely change).

Maybe...but SBU's roster is pretty similar to last year and we were OK against them then.

Their offense is more varied this year. Last year, the plan seemed to be to stand around and hope Yeboah did something. Vermont's offense has looked like that the last couple of games. Hope Smith or Lamb makes a play.
