Channel 13 reports Malachi de Sousa will take his talents to Lawrenceville NJ, will sit one year then play two for Rider

Is that suppose to be step-up for him? Seems to me a lateral move @ best. As Bob would say "the lowly maac."?  I know students transfer for a lot of different reasons; but if Malachi looking for more playing time, why sit a year and end up in a conference only slightly higher rated {and debatable at that.} ??

There weren't many takers interestingly enough...look how long it took.

Athletically talented, but a disappointment overall. Not surprised Rider was the best he could do. The proof is in the film.

Rider is predicted to be one of the worst teams in the MAAC this year, so he should be able to get a lot of playing time once he is eligible. Sitting out the COVID year may not be a bad thing anyway.

Personally, I think that his skillset just wasn't a match for Will Browns style. If given the chance to play big minutes in a faster paced environment he could excel and put up big numbers. He has the athleticism and skills to do that.

Lacrosse also up. Never seen all sports rosters this early. Maybe because ALL playing in Spring mostly. Going to be a zoo.

A quick google search says he committed to Castleton a D3 school back in April.  Obviously changed his mind.  Welcome to the program JB.
