  1. Final 64-57 ladies win. Hahne 23, Werth 15, Heeps 13. They hold on to a lead despite a run by the opponent, by making a run of their own. In other words they don’t collapse. Men, take note.

  2. Ours needs a new head coach….desperately.

  3. Attendance was listed as 2301, for a season average of 5240. After drawing over 21000 for the first three games, only 4700 saw the last two.

  4. They are winning with three starters on the bench. Winning rebounding with their tallest player on the bench. Great job ladies!

  6. OMG, the team finally got over the hump and won a close one. Amazing coaching job. So proud of everything they have accomplished despite the shortfalls of the players that normally screw up every week. The coaches found a way to pull us through. Definitely time for a 5 year extension for our leadership. They deserve it. This was the exciting turn around moment we have been waiting for! The team has now matched the win total of the last two seasons combined and still has a game left. That's major improvement! They deserve another extension!

  7. This year was neutral .... which I now realize neutral meant on the financial side .... how is playing at MVP, a neutral site .... another Benson boneheaded idea

  8. MY 2¢. First if all I was 2 miles away @ the Albany Symphony. A very pleasant and relaxing evening with my wife. ON the way home, I caught the last two minutes and the first thing I heard was UA blew a 16 pt. lead after a 9 ½ minute scoring drought {what else is new 😉}. At home I decided to watch the first half to see the good at least. First thing I noticed the stream was so choppy, I thought my tv/wifi/something remiss. Glanced @ the blog found out it was not me. The second thing I found out {already knew of course} THIS WAS NOT A NEUTRAL SITE GAME! This "revelation" came when the lcc announcer, announced to the color man that even though UA has had some success lately, when he played for lcc, they regularly kicked UA's a$$. Don't know who was the a$$ kicker was; I muted the "unbiased neutral" site announcer. So really have nothing new to add, other than what is already written here. On a positive note only 12 TO's in a very HOSTILE, I mean neutral atmosphere.

  9. Stormo and some of the others did seem to bully him down low a lot. It almost seemed a conscious effort to bring the ball to him. Maybe get him in foul trouble or see if he'd crumble on the big stage. He definitely held his own. He needs a bit more muscle, but you are right. He will be a beast if he stays long term.

  10. This team right now as constructed is limited size inside and no consistent shooting...Killings is running out of excuses. Can't have a bunch of athletes none of whom can make a shot. Constantly getting crushed on the boards. Good 30 minutes and then wheels fell off...this team has potential. The loss is overshadowed today by a much bigger loss. Neely is this team's best player; his loss will relegate this team to bottom half of the AE. Beagle is as good as advertised...if he sticks around will be an animal in this league.

  11. So the replay isn't available yet, but I found it in the game log and it doesn't make any sense to me. Not that it made a big difference, but it definitely killed any chance of a momentum change. According to the ESPN App play by play: 3:08 - Billups makes a layup to put Siena up by 8 (67-59) 2:47 - Jackson missed layup 2:45 - Jackson gets own rebound 2:42 - Albany turnover with Shot Clock violation Did Jackson's layup not hit the rim? If it did, wouldn't that reset the shot clock, or at least give a fresh 20? If it didn't, how did he get his own rebound? Regardless, it hadn't been 30 seconds since Billups had scored. Reddish ended up making a layup as the clock expired so Albany didn't get those 2 points. The shot clock violation definitely pumped up the crowd and really seemed to suck any remaining air out of the teams tires. That would have brought it back to within 6, but instead Albany never got closer than 7 after that. To me the turning point in the game was when Davis got hurt. He came back and played more but was limping and wasn't himself. Hopefully it was nothing serious and just a minor setback. Biggest news was Neely getting hurt as well. This team needs him, and needs him badly.

  12. Roster construction has been a concern since before the season started and you hit the nail on the head. This is basically how we looked in the first few years of D1 when we'd get destroyed inside.

  13. The rotations definitely need to make more sense, I feel like some were just picked out of a hat. Consistent 3 point shooting and big man depth are a big need, it also felt like the team became a band of mercanaries in the 2nd half.

  14. Not sure what he was doing but clearly a liability- at least for the few minutes he played in this game.

  15. Likely Kellogg and Ketner have shown them nothing in the preseason....

  16. Hutcheson's poor close out D annoys me more than the rebounding, Beagles doing as much as he can as a freshman against a lot of frontcourt depth on Siena, just the lack of big depth is getting to UAlbany overall.

  18. I'm hoping the restructuring is because the old gdac app could not interface with the new ticket software. I wish they'd let the computer science students do a decent app for gdac.

  20. Clowns...hate the school, can't stand Bob Belber...can't stand anyone thinking Siena is more than gum on a shoe as it relates to the City of Albany.

  22. The Neely injury...square on Bob Belber. The bull$iena with the floor and shiny new stickers. Kid's knee buckled. Don't want to assume anything...just did not look good at all. I wouldn't be surprised if he's got a serious knee injury from the look of the action on the replay.

  24. This is a god awful football game featuring two mediocre or leas teams, with the stadium energy of a flag football intramural matchup. only way the school starts recouping expenses is with a better product. end discussion.
