  3. Not optimistic about seeing many games and never really was. In the spring of 2020, some friends who work at a health care provider told me their headquarters would be remote until summer of 2021. That's when life would possibly begin to resemble "normal." If Covid were a plumbing issue, I would listen to plumbers. If Covid were a legal issue, I would listen to lawyers. But it's a health issue so I've listened to people in the health care industry. I also had a client who is younger than me (earlier 40s with no previous health conditions) get Covid. They were in a coma for a month, hospi

  6. If they play at all; and I am still skeptical, I WOULD absolutely attend games. As long as seating is limited, mask are required, and all social distance rules followed. 25% capacity seems to be working in restaurants and stores etc; why not in a "huge" arena. Even if SEFCU can't be defined as huge, it certainly is big enough to space out the season ticket holders and perhaps even a few more. Put in some MERV 13 filters and FREE SEFCU FREE SEFCU FREE SEFCU. No storming the court, you Notre Dame aholes!

  7. Great interview with Will Brown talking about this year's team and what he expects. He seemed pretty high on the transfers and Amica. No real talk about Hank or Lulka in the interview. It's a couple of days old, as it is from the first day of latest pause. So little news on the team this year, so it's great to hear some news. Some great other conversations with UA people if you look at the past podcasts from this group.

  9. Anyone thinking there will be a winter season is just dreaming. Was speaking to my neurology doctor at Mass General last week and they are prepping to shift huge portions of their staff to Covid and flu treatment. The shift is expected in late January and through February. Massachusetts has done a pretty solid job with Covid, Boston in particular, so when a top doctor is saying it’s going to be bad...I trust him. The NCAA saw the writing on the wall, which is likely why they just granted the extra year of eligibility for all winter sports athletes even before the season started.

  12. I wonder when we will know if fans will be allowed because right now they aren’t. I wonder if we pass on season tickets due to health concerns if they’ll hold them for 2021 fall. I wonder about a lot of stuff. If anyone from the AD’s office monitors this forum, we need communication. Please keep us up to date, please don’t take us for granted.

  16. Definitely not looking good. Even if the season does happen for conference games only, I am thinking it will look ugly with so much less practices than some of the other teams. Will we have enough talent to overcome the more preparation the other teams have. Back to the original point of this post - I would attend games today if we were allowed. The stands have been mostly socially distanced for the last few years anyway. I would wear a mask to help keep others safe, but wouldn't care if the people sitting next to me didn't. I'm still a fan of working towards herd immunity. I would hope t

  18. After making the call early in the summer, I consider Union College and Rensselaer (and their conference) as bell weather indicators of the potential direction where we are headed (intermediate time-frame) see links below: https://unionathletics.com/news/2020/11/9/general-sports-update-on-winter-2020-21-athletic-seasons.aspx https://libertyleagueathletics.com/news/2020/11/9/mens-basketball-liberty-league-statement-on-winter-sports-competition.aspx I am losing faith of seeing any prospect of seeing basketball.....

  24. And yes I think they will play all 22 games. I also think that we will see fans in the seats by the end of the season. I mean the arena has already been pretty "socially distant" the last few years anyway.

  25. Per the TU, the ‘Aints will travel to Patrick Gym for a non-spectator game. I guess even with no fans at the TU Center, Western Ave is too dangerous for them

But we won't be allowed at the games. Hopefully UA has their audio/video team working overtime to ensure we can at least watch and it better not cost an arm and a leg!
