  1. Yeah I've wanted to get on Siena's board and tell them that despite Zoellner we have Brent, Kiel, Jim, Brian C@L, Levi, Jared who can all play roles even if Zoellner is not effective. I guess they still have nightmares over bigZ with his monster dunk at the end of the game last year. They are in for a rude awakening because they never really saw what Lillis and Brent could do, and I look forward to seeing what the NB3 can do. I do have my feelings of trepidation about the new style that there new coach is bringing, but I think Coach Brown isn't the type to allow his players to think that any team will be a walk in the park, or at least he won't let them think that until the team has a 20 point lead with a minute to go.
  2. Man talk about people who are depressed look what Siena Fans are saying about there chances v.s. Albany "The only chance is if Siena's guards have a career night and Albany's can't hit the broad side of a barn." "If Siena is forced into a halfcourt game, it will be a bigger blowout than last year." "Make guys like Lucious Jordan, Wilson and Levine hit outside shots and pack it in against Zoellner" "Making their excellent outside shooters who always light the Saints up from outside hit outside shots does not sound like a very good winning gameplan to me. Pack it in against Zoellner? With who? The only player Siena has over 210 lbs. is only 6'5. Most of Siena's roster are oompa loompas compared to Zoellner. If you think he had a career game when Siena had Haddix, Holle, & Sniezyk, wait until you see the beating he throws on them this time." "Siena has to do two things to have a prayer: Run Albany out of the gym and hit close to 50% from three and hope Albany misses. A lot." My Personal Favorite Slim to none. Albany will have to shoot an abysmal percentage. Amazing what two years can do...
  3. This is an unrelated sports question, but what is the University building on the Western Side of the campus near the entrance to State Quad? I tried to go to the front of state and was blocked by fences and I saw bulldozers digging up the part of the parking lot that was fenced off.
  4. My bad I remember coach Brown saying he scored zero points during the scrimage perhaps I miss interprited.
  5. Did anyone else think that the play by Zoellner during the scrimmage looked very much improved over last year? I noticed he wasn't doing his crazy hook shot, instead he was moving towards the basket, and he was drawing a lot of fouls. As for the rest of the team I definitely enjoyed what I saw out of them. Jamar did amazing he looks like he is in top form, Levi despite not getting a point looked good as a role player, I really liked Siggers play I think he is going to be a burst of energy coming off the bench, the NB3 Grahm, Convington, and Connelly looked good. I think Connelly was a little shaky until the second half, Convington played well despite having to match up against bigZ. Grahm did well I wonder how many tattoos the guy had on his arms? Everyone looked good I even liked a couple of shots Bauman made, he could have a major role in the offense next season after Jordan graduates. I know I've said I liked a lot of what I saw but I think the most impressive thing is that this team wants to win, and that they will accept whatever role coach Brown gives them, and will do there role well. To me that’s a great thing to have heading into a season, and as long as they keep a level head, we should be seeing UA go rather far into the conference tournament and hopefully the championship.
  6. Is anyone going to the scrimage tomorrow?
  7. How many scholorships does coach brown have to give out? Is it 14? Plus how many players are allowed to dress, I know when I played ball long ago we could only have 12 players dress. I wonder if we are going to have red shirts this season?
  8. Was looking over the roster and noticed our walkon was no longer on. Anyone have any news regarding this?
  9. Yeah I gueszz tha why i not english major
  10. Levi, J Wilson, and Jordan named team captians. Good picks all three are probably going to start. Look foward to seeing this weekends scrimage which has been announced on the website with Coach Brown answering questions after.
  11. Does anyone know where the scrimage is going to take place? And is it going to be intersquad or are they bringing maybe a D3 team in to place against?
  12. Do we know anything about the other player was he a big guy, winger, or guard?
  13. He is going to have time to grow, offcourse he could be a completely different type of player then Levi, but I like his height 6'5 is good for a wing player. So I think all we need to find now is a good point guard and another big guy. I like Yocum regardless if he is 6'8 or 6'9 is good start and can replace Knotts as a role player, and I like Andersen I really like his Free throw percentage 82% and he can get better. So far so good I'm glad to see the one year contract extension isn't preventing us from recruiting good solid players.
  14. Yeah baby we stole one from Vermont i like this pick up, looks like a good replacement for Levi.
  15. I feel like there is nothing else to say about the football season. We really don't have a chance to win the confrence now, and I'll be shocked based on how the offense has played if we will win more then 2 or 3 games. One question is nine fumbles a record or somthing?
  16. Hey just a crazy thought this might seem like a high school tactic but since we are trying to raise money for a new football stadium, why not have like a sign on the field that tracks the progress? I've heard goals of trying to raise 25 million or somthing. I think that if alumni and people in the community see what we are trying to do, they might be more persuaded to chippin to the effort. Just a thought does anyone think we should recomend this to athletic department?
  17. Well again its a good start and it makes sense that the Fire Marshell has a cap of under 5,000. I think the University if they again advertised more on the website and had purchasing tickets online avaliable you would see a jump, and I wouldn't be surprised if by a week or two before the season starts that you will see a rush on tickets. I can't wait to feel the RACC shake with attendence over 4,000 it should be exciting.
  18. Hey 84 sorry about posting under your name, I was in the library and I guess I used the same computer you did lol. What are the odds.
  19. Thats really good to hear but how many seats with backs do we have at the RACC? For some reason 1,500 seems to be the number I remember. Still its a great start and we must remember that a certain percentage of tickets are purchased the day of the game and there is still 6 weeks till the first game, so the attendence is going to be there and does anyone know how many student tickets are avaliable?
  20. I have been rather annouyed at how Scout.com is unable to follow up on some of these guys that they say Albany is after, I mean Elliot we all know went for Butler, the day of that announcement we land Yocum. IDK what the deal is and how these updates don't seem to happen, also it seems that anyone they say that we are going after seem never to land at UA, and the ones we land are unknown until the day of the verbal commitment. I have had this subscription for almost a year and I'm on the verge of cancelling it, so does anyone know a better recruiting site? Or am I better off staying with Scout or saving my money and cancelling?
  21. That was indeed one of our motto's on the team
  22. Could u give me the website address, cause thats a rather old picture and I would be like to show this to other members of the team. Thanks also for giving the crew team which is a club sport some attention.
  23. Hi i rowed and coach the novic team at SUNY and I was wondering where u found that picture?
  24. I know we already have one in the bag with Yocum, but does anyone have any knowledge of other recruits that have visited the campus? I subscribe to Scout.com but its been sort of dead since the first recruit and its been almost two weeks since then.
