Does anyone know where I can buy a hitch cover for my truck? My father in law is sporting a Wisconsin Badgers one and I’d like to get a UAlbany one. I’ve checked the usual places (bookstore, Amazon, Victory Tailgate even Etsy)

If you go down the town name route it helps if your university is named after a popular town. Say Chicago or Miami. I’ve lived in 12 states... Albany doesn’t have that cache if it’s known at all. New York does have cache. I believe in marketing so to me this is important to how we are perceived by the general public. In the end Id be happy if they just merge the schools back.

I tweeted this editorial to Gov Cuomo. Make UAlbany great again! The two schools need to be reunited. I’d actually prefer the SUNY Poly name as opposed to Albany. Flagships aren’t typically named after their town. Ohio State not Columbus State. Michigan State not Lansing State. The town name typically indicates a lower tier.

Its a good sign. I remember being in an Albany area gas station and seeing a Syracuse promo cup deal. This was many years ago. I wondered how long it would be if ever we would see a UAlbany promo... a real promo targeted at the general public not just UA students.

FBS Football. Need to get into the MAC. Eventually the MAC will join the B10 in adding Lax. Thats when we parlay our lacrosse success into a FBS opportunity

Time for a conference jump preferably one that is FBS. Honestly the AD is sitting on a #1 ranked lacrosse team. We need to cash in. Hit up the conferences, donors and backers. Dont wait. UA has a great resume. -

When do we finally get a merger or acquisition with one of these colleges? -
Id prefer to give to a stadium fund. I wish that was an option

I'm confused. Did he play here somewhere and is just German? Or is he legit playing HS football in Germany? I'm Ukrainian and if it's the latter...I had no idea Europeans played it (even though I realize the NFL has been going to London for years). They have german FB teams with German coaches - just did a little research. I played HS Football for a DoDDS school (Ulm) in Germany as my father was US Army stationed there. Is this kid a US army brat or a German national? I know they have some German leagues now. Just a bit confusing to figure out.

Also unseeded. Next game Sunday at 1 pm in Kalamazoo. Game is on ESPN3 Kalamazoo is 45 minutes from my house. If its not freezing maybe I can get the family out. Im a football fan but I support the Danes generally. -
Who owns Stuyvesant Plaza? Not to play semantics but the plaza isn't donating money. The owner or legal entity is providing the funds. Who is that and how deep are these pockets?

Title IX was never meant to regulate sports. I say that as a HR professional. It's hijacking laws after the fact... government run amuck. This is a huge waste of time. Why cheer is not considered in the mix but tennis is just shows how this process has become about identity politics and not sports (or helping girls and women). People know how to kill the fun in sports.

Sounds like a nothing burger but that doesn't stop NPR from describing it as some dark shadow on the program. "Sexual Discrimination" by cold hearted villains that would steal candy from babies. How dare you Albany!

Most folks in California, Georgia or Michigan have never heard of SUNY. I've lived in all three. If Cuomo wants credit for free tuition he should be pushing the SUNY Centers to become household names like UCLA or Georgia Tech. That means big time athletics and top academics (the opposite of access). I wasn't aware nor did I care that Tennessee offers free tuition to their community colleges. Free tuition to Georgia Tech or UCLA would be much more impressive. Most Americans would guess SUNY is the name of a foreign transfer student not major university. Athletics and branding need to be the focus else who cares if it's free.

DR. JAMES STELLAR Named Interm President

I'm concerned SUNY Poly is the smart choice and UA will be the "access" option. Maybe that was the plan behind the spin off all along? -

I would have preferred a leader from a STEM field. UA has suffered from a lack of professional colleges and science/technical fields. We need fewer "studies" programs and more math. On the athletics side we'll have to wait and see. Hope he does no damage. Wishing we had Dr Jones back
