College of Engineering and Applied Sciences

Living in the Midwest I feel SUNY could learn a lot from the BIg 10 schools. A couple huge but easy wins for Cuomo. Fund the damn Engineering College, put Poly and UA back together. Athletics is your key to general name recognition so make it happen -
I see in the Times Union that Cuomo is giving one of his six state of the state speeches at UA tomorrow. Any knowledge if UA is proposed to get any goodies or is this just a venue?

I have so much UA crap it's unbelievable. Just in flags I have 3x5 horizontal and vertical. I also have multiple garden flags. Amazon, Football Fanatics and the UA bookstore all sell them. I'm screwed if UA ever changes their name. Christmas ornaments, corn hole games, scarves, Fatheads, car plates and hundreds of other items get tossed. I had my eye on a UA chef apron. I'm determined to keep up with my Michigan and Michigan State neighbors.

Agree. Anything short of a serious penalty will just encourage more false claims and diminish real claims.

I admit I turned this game off before the half thinking this would be a blow out. I'm pleasantly surprised to say the least. I don't understand how we get solidly demolished by Delaware and repeat that through 2 quarters of this game and we win in the second half. Did a different team come out of the locker room? What UA team shows up next week? First half or second half?

Glad to fly in for the game. Glad we won. That said I had 12 family members join me and I was disappointed in the crowd size. -

I just landed in Albany. First time back in a decade. Excited for the game in the morning. Seeing UAlbany buildings with "SUNY Poly" on it just hurts. -

Just following up on any tailgating recommendations. I'm flying in late Friday so I'm hoping to get an early jump on tailgating. Is there an alum tent? Is there an upgrade option? -
Ditched the New York license plates for some UAlbany ones

Nice. I approve I still have the lock on Michigan's "UAlbany" plate. I wish I had that "UAlbany" plate when I lived in California. You spend a lot of time in traffic in California staring at the plate in front of you. -

Huge thanks to Brendan for his tickets. I purchased additional tickets too. I've now got 9 coming thus far and only 2 are alums so building the fan base. I land at 10:30 Saturday morning. How do I get us into a tailgate tent? -
Is it just wishful thinking or is there any chance that UA and Poly will come back together? I read a local Utica story about wanting to reverse the rebranding back to SUNY IT.

I made an impulse decision to purchase airline tickets to Albany Saturday 10/29 to attend a UAlbany/Elon football game. My wife will be outta town that weekend and this is my only shot at getting to a game for at least a year or more as we're expecting. It's a very short trip. Flying in Saturday morning and leaving Sunday morning. Love to meet some of you in person.

SUNY Poly is searching for a president. SUNY Albany is searching for a president. The two schools have a shared history and are located across the street from each other. Hmmm. Maybe it's time to merge the schools back?

What is our attendance average to date? Do we get to use 9,200 in that average or does it get reduced to "capacity" at 8500? Seems to me they should be looking to expand stadium capacity in small chunks to avoid criticism and to get to FBS capacity by 10 years. Small bump of 1,500 to start would be nice.

That's very positive. If UA and Albany Law ever move closer it'll require student buy in. Now we know 39 Albany Law students would be in favor. Better yet their fellow classmates that are not UA would be less likely to protest their friend and fellow classmate.
