1. I would point out that Andrew Zimbalist is a gigantic jerkoff that hates sports. Ask schools that have been going to the tournament consistently whether the exposure of sports increases applications. And eff him for saying that people who watch sports are the dumb ones anyway.
2. I disagree, their guards are phenomenal, and would probably eat up most guards in this country. When you can run it down the oppositions throat you don't back off and manage the clock. WRONG!
3. I cant stand Gotlieb and the fact that he picked us ...upsets me a little. That arrogant SOB should stick the big 12 games. I think you Danes in Albany must not get cable, because EVERYONE is high on this upset. This and Winthrop over the 1955 UK team that calls themselves "Notre Dame" are the two best double digit seed chances. Oh, and don't sleep on Holy Cross over a very overrated SIU. Notre Dame will destroy Winthrop. How are the Irish the "1955 UK team" exactly? Notre Dame sucks like the rest of the Big East.

5. With the exception of most of CNNSI, ESPN, and national sports pages, you are right on. Doug Gottlieb (as much as I hate him) said the danes should be favored.
6. I think man coverage is unnecessary on Singletary. Stop him from penetrating. Easier to do with a zone. If he shoots the lights out so be it, but he is much more dangerous going to the rack. Reynolds, on the other hand, is lights out shooting. Must put Lillis on him all game. A few other points having seen UVa several times: 1) Must stop transition. If Jamar goes to the hole, the other guard MUST GET BACK. 2) Cover Reynolds and Singletary on the break - they like to shoot the 3 ball in transition and it can be a backbreaker. 3) Must box out. You guys say that UVa is n
7. If you think Virginia doesn't have a huge advantage athletically, you are nuts. If Albany plays more than 5 minutes of pure man-to-man, Singletary and Reynolds will eat them alive.
8. Albany could not have gotten a better matchup than Virginia. UVa is way overseeded, and is a major conference clone of the Danes. Stop Singletary penetration and shut down Reynold's shooting, and the Danes win. I propose a box and one on Reynolds.
9. Virginia is the best possible 4 seed matchup for Albany. I went to BC for grad school and live in Boston, so I have seen UVa a few times. They have nothing down low and get 75% of their offense from PG Singletary and SG Reynolds. Cain is really the third option, and he is a little Brent Wilson-like. They have some athletic post players, but they are not really options. Virginia is like a big school Albany. I have to tell you, I would almost think about Lillis on Reynolds, and have him shut him down. Singletary is more effective as a pass first, penetrating PG. Maybe even a box-and-o
10. Can you get from the Copley Back Bay Hilton to Icarus in 5 minutes walking? You walk fast. LOL...actually, I do it in about 10 minutes....with shortcuts...every girl I have ever dated bitches about my fast paced gait. I have VERY LONG legs compared to my height (no joke...a JAG medical officer said I had legs for a guy who is 6'4-6-5'....I am 6 foot). Hey...could you PM me your email...got a question and want to take it off line. email sent.

12. Entirely depends on your taste. Upscale loungy/pretentious - hit Sonsi or Stephanie's on Newbury, City Bar in the Lenox or Whisky Park in the Park Plaza. 20s and 30s hopping nightlife - go to Vox Pouli on Boylston - Dillon's isn't bad in this category. If you are a clubby person, go to Saint or Rumor. If you are 18-23 and just want to get piss drunk with a bunch of like minded people, the trio on Boylston of Lir, the Pour House and the Foggy Goggle is your scene, or Daisy Buchanan's on Newbury. For a decent Irish pub in that area, hit Solas in the Lenox. If you don't mind expensive dr

14. Is the new place by the Holocaust Memorial "Q"? The one where Tim Hudson got roughed up? The best place for young adults in Fanuiel Hall is Houston's. But it closes bar at 11. At that point, head over to the Vault in the Financial District (about 3 blocks away) or for a decent dive, The Sail Loft in the North End.
15. The Midtown is across the street, South, from the reflecting pool, on the 'E' line. I thought that was the Colonnade
16. Since I really don't know anything about Boston --- I've only been there twice in my life --- can anyone suggest one place of the city versus another if my interest was being close to a good nightlife area for young professionals? For the tournament and for nightlife, I recommend the Sheraton or Hilton Back Bay/Copley rather than the Holiday Inn Beacon St. or the Hilton downtown. I also highly discourage Fanuel Hall unless you are feeling particularly touristy. For young professionals not from the city the Copley area is probably the best - a wide variety of bars and nightclubs on Bo
17. I will do it though the one year I did participate I did not fair well. I prefer baseball and football but I will give it another run. 16665 I am in. Especially is Albany Alum 94 is in. That's free pickings.
18. Unless you're an UA insider or a close personal acquaintance with the recruit we'll never know what happened or is happening. I'm in agreement with alum73's way of thinking Lets hope the staff takes care of business and it all works out for the best for both side of the equation. 16414 That's crap. The article all but admits that the kid was reneging because his stock went up and he expects better offers. Good for the kid. It might be the anti-Jamar, but it also might be best for Howard Little.
19. Correct - when we finished last year at 119 and Siena was listed at 129 most figured we'd be on the list, and we've been having fun checking the teams we'll be ahead of when (if) we ever show up - although it's getting antsy. 15561 We will be on the list. I am confident that they will overrate us after the UConn game and with Jamar coming back.
20. I second these thoughts. Miami also lost Hite. Miami could finish dead last in the ACC this year. There is no way that Albany got overlooked for this list after last year and with most of the team returning. I bet they are getting TOO much credit for the UConn game. I say they will be around 92-95. Which may be high, but not too high.
21. There is no way that they will be left off of this list.
22. Around 110. They have to be listed if they were listed last year.
23. I am not suggesting censorship. I am suggesting that the insecurity about Siena accepting us is unnecessary. Let's talk about UConn and the legit shot we have to beat that team in a rebuilding year.
24. You make a good point also about recruiting. Let me make my one observation here on this topic. I have made many of my posts here on this basketball forum on the Siena issue. Why do I do this? The simple answer is that I know more about this issue than many other topics. I make comments because this is an area where I feel I can make a worthwhile contribution. I suspect that many other posters here feel the same way. Why don't I make as many comments about recruiting, for example? It's simple. I'm not privy to as much information on this topic. I can choose two ways to respond to this
