  1. Tartt was never a 1, he should be a 2 or a small 3. I don't know, the kid lost something after missing that dunk. I thought he played back-up point last year? (Or are you saying that he was not fit for that position?) Not sure what dunk you are referring to but it sounds traumatic. Yeah he played it, wasn't a fit. Last year against CCSU he went in for a game winner with no one withing 30 feet of him with a few tics left and clanked it, he was never the same player the rest of the season. Perhaps he can take solace in Tim Ambrose not being able to jump high enough for the dunk against Siena on Saturday... no harm done. He got plenty up just didn't put it down. I hope you are referring to Tartt because Ambrose didn't even make it an inch above the rim!

  4. "Tempers flare up a little bit with ______" Did anyone catch the end of that sentence? My radio scrambled. I assume it was Lindfors and Mangano because of the double foul.
  5. I wish I could see the game - I can't tell if CB is angry and calling timeouts or just calling timeouts to end the run.
  6. Interesting that Black and Tartt are in at the same time. Maybe they are trying Tartt at the 2 now that they have Iati and Watts.
  7. "And here comes Derek Tartt..." Okay, I guess it's over.
  8. If Aronhalt finishes in single-digits and ends the streak, I will cry.
  9. Or Billy Allen, who had an amazing game against Yale last season. He also knows how to play defense (or so I've been told! )
  10. Puk has 4 fouls with 9:18 left ... The worst part is that two came on offense (one was an illegal pick; the other was player control). PLEASE STOP FOULING.
  11. Going to have to work on the defense. Need a way to stop outside shooters (which Siena didn't really have) - that's how we got killed by Iona and American, if memory serves. Yale is 10 for 24 from behind the arc.
  12. From 1200 miles away for $7.95 I was able to watch it live on a siena feed. Listening to the whining lcc announcers remind me at least four times that 'this game obviously means a lot more to UA than to siena' made the outcome even sweeter. Yea, I wanted to punch my TV when the announcer kept going on and on about the officials and the Rossiter foul. They called an intentional foul, not a flagrant foul, genius! And it was the right call - Rossiter was swinging his elbows to clear out, which you cannot do, especially under the new rules. The announcer would not shut up about it!!
  13. I'll do the format to keep it the same. Thanks for pinning! 12/4/10 @ Siena: 27 points = 1,203 --> #16
  14. For those looking to relive the action, Time Warner Cable is replaying the game today (Sunday) at 7PM. If you are going to tape it, I suggest extending your DVR. Luckily, I set it for an extra hour, so I caught the whole game. Nothing like watching the win at 2AM!! Yippee!!!!!!!!!
  15. Alright now that reason is just ridiculous. That's a right of passage and that whole not rushing the court thing was stupid. Just because a few students did stupid things doesn't mean they are all dumb. If UAlbany ever won the America East and there was a note to not rush the floor, I would still rush the floor. The years before that were completely fine, I don't remember any injuries besides the few dumbasses that did stupid things. I hope your post was a bit sarcastic. My post was in response to SienaTony complaining that Siena's net profit from the game is decreased because, as the home team, they have to pay for security and clean-up. I think it's disingenuous to whine about security costs when YOUR fans are the reason that extra security is needed. I'm not expressing an opinion as to whether court-rushing is a good or bad thing. But given Siena fans' blatant disregard for safety directives, they really can't complain when extra security is an added cost. Besides, it wasn't a stupid, heat-of-the-moment reaction. It was pre-planned disobedience: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=405263259128&ref=nf
  16. Now I know why Siena insists on having a home game every year... Their fans are so ignorant and entitled that they believe they have the right to assault security guards rush the court, regardless of safety issues. So they should probably stop whining about having to pay for security since they are the reason EXTRA security is necessary! http://www.cbs6albany.com/articles/siena-1271786-maac-wrong.html
  17. I watched this game on TV and I thought the announcers said it was packed/sold out. But you're right - box score says attendance was 8,444. What is the total number of seats available for fans?
  18. Could someone explain the ticket controversy to me? I've only been in the area for a few years...
  19. It's going to be on tv, so perhaps you can convince channel surfing to put it up? Also, you can listen to it on the radio on foxsports980.com
  20. Alright, now I'm just confused. I didn't mean to start anything!
  21. As we've already have more players than scholis for next year, I'd be shocked to see Urli return. And Hatcher just isn't in the rotation- so again, unlikely we'd hang onto him for an extra year. Doc, are you saying UA would release Hatcher after this year? (Sorry, I'm not familiar with how the scholarships work, other then the fact that they pay for everything!)
  22. I watched the whole game as I am a fan of UNH. (Don't hurt me - I grew up in Durham!) If this game is any indication of their potential - and I believe it is, because I saw them win over Brown on Saturday - then UNH is going to be a big threat in the America East. They never trailed in the first half and were leading with 14:08 left in the game. UNH was within one with 8:24 remaining. There were only two reasons that UConn won: Kemba Walker (30 points for UConn) and 13 blocks for UConn - not necessarily in that order. The blocks meant that UNH didn't get the points AND didn't go to the line (they attempted only 6 FTs), whereas UConn took 26 foul shots. And UNH nearly upset UConn without Abreu, who is/was arguably their best player. Sorry if I sound excited, but I am! UA must take UNH as a serious threat, although I have some opinions about how UA is better and could pull off a win (three-point shooting and frontcourt bench depth, for example). Also, please take this UNH fan (me) as an ally because UNH fans share UA's hatred of the Vermont Catamounts!!!
  23. No, they have to decide before he plays in 20% of the team's schedule (about 7 games). The date, or games he doesn't play, have nothing to do with it. Interesting...I had no idea. Thanks for the info! I wonder why Abreu declared his medical redshirt immediately then - is there any advantage to declaring redshirt early in the season?
