I am seriously considering canceling my TU subscription. I didn't even see an article on Saturday's LAX game. Did I miss it? I guess since Siena lost they only felt the need to print the box score. I understand it was a big basketball weekend, but our LAX team is nationally ranked!

According to the box score he started and had 1 unasssited tackle and 4 assisted.

Article in The Business Review.

You need to register, but it is free.
Main points:
"Hall said UAlbany needs a better football stadium, something in the 6500 seat range."
"I am not looking to go to the Rose Bowl.."
"Any funding for athletic facilities would be through donations and other private sources--the athletic prgram is running an $8 million dollar campaign for donations--and not siphon off money for academic programs or projects like the school's critical Albany nanoTech venture..".
"....intercollegiate athletics at UAlbany are about the right size, cost, and importance on campus."
I was told at the game this weekend that the stadium plan was a 3 year plan. 1 year to get the $$, 2 years to build it.

Kurt Campbell drafted by Green Bay. 7th Round, 31st pick (245 Overall)
-
"Stony Brook University has been placed on NCAA probation and penalized with the loss of 12.5 athletic scholarships for 53 compliance violations and "lack of institutional control" that occurred between 1999 and 2001, the NCAA announced yesterday."
Story was also in today's TU.

If I recall correctly McElroy said during the halftime interview of the Dartmouth game that they were starting this week and it would be completed in Spring 05. Did anybody else hear the same?

UALBANY MEN’S BASKETBALL RECEIVES COMMITMENT FROM HIGH SCHOOL STAR
Albany, N.Y. – University at Albany men’s basketball coach Will Brown announced on Monday, Nov. 15 that South Jersey high school standout Brian Connelly has signed a national letter of intent to play for the Great Danes in 2005-06.
Connelly, a 6-foot-8, 215-pound forward from Audubon, N.J. (Camden Catholic H.S.), averaged 15.0 points and 11.0 rebounds as a junior. The Fighting Irish reached the South Jersey Group IV Parochial A championship. Connelly’s team won the Olympic Conference National Division title with a 21-6 record. He was a member of the Camden Courier Post’s All-Parochial second team.
"He has a great combination of size and skill," Brown said. "He can score in the low post and shoot from three-point range. Brian plays for a good coach and a good program, and is use to winning. His versatility and competitiveness will make us better."
UAlbany begins its 2004-05 schedule on Friday, Nov. 19 with a non-league contest at Sacred Heart. Tip-off is 7:00 p.m.

I was told on Saturday at the football game that the project was slightly ahead of schedule, but is now slightly behind due to moisture/condensation problems. It must be finished at the latest by December 12th (Winter Commencement). Commencement was actually rescheduled from 12/5 to 12/12.
