  1. Saw David's dad post this yesterday, so seems no ill will towards UA.
  2. They're high quality which is why they are so much. Which is nice to see good quality items vs. overprices jersey shirts from the bookstore. It's not for everyone but glad to marketing team letting other parts of the school, etc use of the logos, etc.
  3. Some nicer high end UA gear. I saw it posted by Alumni Association on May 18th. They have a free shipping code through May 23 code: UALVB18. 4. Inauguration for President Rodriguez was today. His family came from various parts of the country to see him, it was pretty cool to see them all visit. They had a small dinner last night, a coffee ceremony this morning and the official ceremony at the Performing Arts Center on campus today w/ the Chancellor. UAlbany's new president is inaugurated https://www.timesunion.com/news/article/UAlbany-s-new-president-is-inaugurated-12829673.php
  5. “Coach Brown was great through it all," Nichols told Gazette sportswriter Michael Kelly. "He did nothing but try to help.” Interesting quote from David. I think we noticed through the years he was having some problems on the court, and who knows off the court. He lost his sister while he was here at college too. His dad had a much larger presence here at games (made scoreboard too )this year than in previous years...at a lot more games...traveling from Chicago...which can't be ignored. Hopefully he gets whatever he needs.
  6. Hmmm some news tweets appeared and are now deleted on Twitter... sigh. The fact that Roger said Monday for Joe's waiver and didn't say that for David...makes me wonder. Well Joe made his decision now, so that's that I guess.
  7. I wish Joe the best but it seems (by pure speculation lol) Joe wants a team he can ride into the post season with and UAlbany was looking for Joe to be the leader to take us to the NCAA tournament. As we know we never got our leader we were looking for this year. We all had those high local hero expectations sometimes expectations are wrong. Nothing is wrong with that, I'd rather him be honest with himself and the team if that's the case, who knows. Not everyone wants to or has the skills to be that. Maybe he knew he was not going to be that clutch guy everyone thought he would be. Maybe being a small fish in a big pond is something he wants to try out his grad yr. A LOT of maybes, we will never know. Only him and CB know. Onto the purple and gold scrimmage!
  8. Suero was given bad advice thinking he would be amazing at a higher level. Seems Joe may be in the same boat. He has a tough time playing defense in the AE...how will he bode in a higher conference with better offensive players? Its not like Maryland went to the tourney this year either...(example of place he may go)
  9. I'm guessing you're wrong with that thought.
  10. Okay nevermind Michael Kelly from Gazette contacted Joe and Joe confirmed he is leaving.(twitter)
  11. Just a thing to point out.. they are report different things for the players. David they are clear he is leaving and confirmed by his dad on Twitter. Joe.. it says Monday... so maybe it's not set in stone ..wishful thinking :). " Cremo’s release is expected to come Monday. " And I haven't seen any confirmation from Joe or his family posted like we have seen with David. https://twitter.com/chrisonorato/status/979484984506486784
  12. So I know David was super smart and graduated with his BA in 3 years and transferring would be as a grad transfer. Anyone know about Joe, will he also graduate with his BA in 3 years...and is his transfer also as a grad student?
  13. Thanks! You would have thought that they would advertise a time change since people have already bought tickets but you know that's called communication LOL
  14. Quick question, parking pass says the Stony Brook game is 7pm, but ticket website says 4pm..so I assume the time was changed at some point. Does anyone which time is the correct one?
  15. " Chances the under reporting of the attendance numbers at b-ball games this year are going into that GDAC slush fund you speak of?" What does that have to do with GDAC donations?
  16. It's nothing something I "speak of". GDAC donation dollars are all "unrestricted" meaning they can be used for anything athletics wants to use them for, ie: a slush fund. If you donate to Athletics and designate it to something, it doesn't count as a GDAC donation. As for your question about attendance and GDAC, I'm not sure I understand what you're asking....
  17. Let's be honest the thread is really only a few people talking about firing CB and everyone else saying they're crazy, that's all.
  18. Looking like a great showing for AE..... fingers crossed for history tonight.
  19. If you know who to ask it can. Officially it does not count.
  20. Which is great to designate ..unless they "force" you to donate it to the GDAC slush fund for benefits where you will never know what it is used for. You want to donate $5k for a basketball scholarship that won't get you parking but $1k donation for for the GDAC slush fund will. ?
  21. MTS puts it to Vermont 64-91. Normally I'd route for an AE team in the NIT.. however, I want MTS and St. Mary's to put on a clinic and show the NCAA they should have included those mid majors.
  22. Do you really think cutting prices in half would double attendance?Cutting them by 75% would quadruple attendance? The program is not a money maker as it is. We all want this amenity and that amenity, but also think it's too expensive? They need to do everything in their power to build a fanbase... Sell out building regularly then start raising prices to maximize profits. They are doing the opposite... Jacking prices and mandatory donations to buy season tickets... Instead of growing the fanbase and then wonder why people feel priced out. Marketing 101. Will be interesting what route they go next year with the tax changes and if they have to change things up not because of lack of butts in seats but new tax law. I know this article was in December but it does talk about larger schools and how donations are required for certain things and the new tax law.. http://www.newsobserver.com/news/politics-government/politics-columns-blogs/under-the-dome/article190121014.htmlor this newer article about what athletic depts are going to have to do in 2018 and forward http://www.crainscleveland.com/article/20180206/blogs06/151026/tax-law-could-hit-home-major-way-collegiate-athletic-departments Hopefully they do something that makes sense..... however.... since even their current GDAC pamphlets don't match what the AD says in the Q&A sessions.. I kind of lack the confidence. Or we'll probably never be told the changes.. like other things.. sigh.
