  1. Boys and girls - it’s one game by a team with a new coach, many new players who haven’t played with each other, in a program coming off of a couple of years of uninspirational mediocrity. It’s a project that will hopefully bear fruit. We were 5-23 in 2002-03 and were in the Dance two years later. Give it some time. Yes, it may be a lot of losses this year and maybe next, but hopefully there will be flashes of brilliance that will foretell of glory to come. U know
  2. I like the court, logo, LED mood lighting - except the purple on the court is way too light for my taste. Not sure if it’s a university color standardization thing, but our purple used to be much deeper and bolder. Now it’s bordering on floral. But if they win, they can go pastel for all I care, ha ha.
  3. Pretty sure this is a misprint - should say we’re picked fourth.
  4. Fourth place in AE - you heard it here first.
  5. For each of the sessions on Friday and Saturday, I have two adult (age 13-up) and two youth (age 2-12) tickets available: Section 113, row 8 behind the visitors bench (which I'm guessing is where Albany will be for these two games since they're listed first) Friday Presbyterian vs. Sacred Heart at 5:00p Albany vs. Quinnipiac at 7:30p Saturday Albany vs. Sacred Heart at 4:00p Sacred Heart vs. Quinnipiac at 6:30p PM me if you're interested in any or all tickets. Thanks, S$
  6. No, cw. It has to be 4th. Every year, the predictors predict 4th. Now get with the program.
  7. I’m predicting that the predictors whose day job it is to predict will predict that we finish 4th in the AE. Who’s with me?
  8. Yes, congrats - JuniorGDG! I remember taking our first born to games back in 04-05. We used to put those foam earplugs in her ears so she could sleep through the buzzers and crowd noise.
  9. Ah, remember the bad old days when you had to pay some damn school or conference eight bucks just to watch the Albany game?
  10. Correct me if I’m wrong, but don’t we usually get picked to finish fourth?
  11. Love it. UMBC on a weekend — I’ll be making the hour-long drive from Va.
  12. Agreed - Joe was clearly half a step too slow on many defensive occasions this year.
  13. Maybe some posters of photos like this put up around the locker room and some inspirational video collages would pump up our guys. Or a pre-season guest lecture by the likes of Brian Lillis or Levi Levine. Need to set the bar somehow so that players know what’s expected of them. Sports psychologist couldn’t hurt either. Clearly, this year’s tactics didn’t work.
  14. Going back to the UVA postgame - was I seeing things, or was former head coach Randy Monroe in attendance and hugging folks after the game?
  15. Yes, one just picked up where the last one left off.
  16. Please no Agreed. Im not going to even think about thinking about watching any nonsense that prolongs this season. Thanks but no thanks and see you next year...I was actually hoping we would lose once it was evident that we didnt show up for the second half. TGIO
  17. Ha! Ive lived in both places. While the significance of the I-40 exit was obvious, the I-90 thing never occurred to me in 8 years in the Capital District.
  18. Dont look now, but UMBC is in 2nd place with a 7-2 conference record.
  19. And probably better bathroom lighting. I havent been since Hooleys shot - do we still have the darkest mens room in the America East?
  20. We've certainly struggled recently..but Dougherty didn't need to give us one more loss than we actually have..14-6 vs. 13-7. I think Brown's comments are right on. Historically..his teams have let defense and rebounding lead to enough offense. Now..we seem to be stronger (on paper) offensively..but are letting our struggles there affect our already mediocre defense. Can't always control when shots are falling..but you can always control commitment to defense. +1 googolplex - you can always try on defense. Its a decision driven by desire. On a related topic, Im curious as to what our captains and senior leaders have done so far to right the ship. Its not solely the coaches responsibility.
  21. They would need the express written consent of Major League Baseball.
  22. Does a close loss do anything for RPI, or a loss is a loss?
