"Enjoy your Home and Home vs NJIT."

Thanks, I will.  I'll also enjoy playing host to Stanford and St. Joe's next year.  You should come down to the Pepsi next year Patch and enjoy some big-time college basketball.

05-06 RPI

Bucknell - 42

VCU - 81

St. Joe's - 43

Stanford - 86

Where's that big Pepsi Arena (I mean TUC) advantage?

Thanks GODANESGO - Saint73 puts his foot in his mouth again.

I'm tired of listening to our Saintly neighbors - they been drinking too much Green Kool Aid.

They even stoop to moving to advanced years trying to match what we have coming in this year and they still come up short.

Siena the self proclaimed "Crown Jewel of the MAAC" with all their highly touted inherent advantages have to go to the 07/08 season to compare with what upstart UA will have this year.

I'm sure the Siena faithful will fill the Knick for their NJIT game.

People will start to realize that they can come to UA and get good viewing seats with exciting collegiate atmosphere for about 1/3 what it will cost to sit in a 1/3 full Knick/Pepsi/TUC for games like NJIT which will have a scrimmage like atmosphere.

Each to their own.

You beat me to the punch Patch. I was just wondering why anyone would go to the TUC and listen to the echoes when they can go to the RACC for big time basketball and get caught up in the frenzy of a raucus atmosphere.

Sorry GDG, I guess my initial post was not clearly written.  Let me rephrase.

Bucknell will not be receiving any Top 25 votes next year.

Again, so what.

Bucknell is clearly a more respected opponent than Loudonville high plus it is a home game for us not a road game like Loundonville high.

You're kidding me right?? Are you really going to compare hosting a Patriot League Team with a perrenial power from the Pac-10???

BTW, Siena will be hosting Hofstraa this year; a team that had an RPI of 30 and beat George Mason twice last year.

Knowledge is a good thing. Keep reading the Siena board!!

Yeah, You are right there is no comparison. :D

Bucknell beat Arkansas and Kansas in the last 2 NCAA tournaments.

Stanford beat no one in the last 2 ncaa tournaments although they beat Virginia in the NIT.

Great, Hofstra had an RPI of 30. Obviously a misleading number since they did not make the tournament. The 34 best at large teams are selected so if RPI was really a good gauge of a teams strength the top 34 RPI teams who did not get auto bids would be the 34 at large selections in the NCAA.

Also good for you that you are playing Hofstra so that you don't have to play NJIT twice at home.

saints73-

Are you for real?

Hofstra with its great 30 RPI didn't even get an invite to the Big Dance and the only reason they are coming to the Knick/Pepsi/TUC anyway is they are forced to by the BracketBuster commitment rule - just like that's why VCU is coming to UA. By the way VCU split with Hofstra beating them by 20+ during the rgular season and losing to them by 6 in the CAA Tourney.

Wasn't it at Hofstra where 2 high profile Siena people were thrown out of the game and wasn't it the Siena Faithfull who supported their actions as justifiable. You guys could turn anything around to meet your needs.

St Joe's a team in the past with usually very strong backcourt is going to have to rely on Freshman guards. They are currently picked 136 in College Hoop Nets Top 144 Teams in 144 Days.

Standford has a tremendous history but has not been in the NCAAs for a couple of years. They are going to have to rely on Freshmen - the Lopez twins big time. Just so you are aware Albany lost to UCLA by 8 Standford lost to UCLA by 21 and 17.

Saints73 come back from the past and try living in the present.

I think it's time you lay off the "Green Kool Aid".

That seems like an implied oxy - MORON....in order to gain more knowledge i would think that one should AVOID the Siena board as it is generally filled with more fiction then fact. The posts on that board tend to resemble some of the posts made is this thread where Siena fans continually insert there feet into their mouth....which leads me on a tangent to another comment

If the Siena fans have gotten so comfortable with fitting their feet in their mouth I would logically conclude that they have small feet. You know what they say about guys with small feet.....
