OK I will say it. WE NEED TO WIN THE REST OF OUR GAMES FOR ANY CONSIDERATION FOR THE___________. I WON"T JINX IT BY SAYING IT!

Could we go 7-0? Man what a year that would be. We should not look past anyone.

Cornell game notes are up, mentions the bruised kidney but nothing else. The two-deep chart at QB says

DANIEL BOCANEGRA (6-1, 195, So.) or

FRANK BLASINSKY (6-1, 190, Fr.)

I guess we will know more in the next day or two, but the preliminary report (and I stress preliminary) is that the injury is not serious and he will hopefully be available. But again it is uncertain when or how much he will be able to practice this week. Barksdale's status is also uncertain (sprained ankle) and will be evaluated day to day. In his case, the hard playing surface at Cornell does not help. Unless they have put down a new field, I believe it is that out-dated Astro-like turf. I hate that we have to play a game on that stuff....

Schoellkopf Stadium was last resurfaced in 1999, which means it's probably due again.

Since it's a non-conference game, I wouldn't blame them holding Bocanegra out for a week. A playoff spot is a longshot even if we win out anyway.

16526[/snapback]

Blasinsky is more than capable of "filling in" for Bocanegra. He should start anyway. If Bocanegra is ready to go, put him at receiver. He's a great athelete...but the way I see it play the frosh at QB.. Its a win-win situaiton. You get a good athelete in the game and you get the QB of the future real game experience....

Play Bocanegra, Jason Smith, Josh Furnas and Mike Wall at receiver.

I agree with you Danefan. I would still have packages  for Bocanegra at qb (if he can stop fumbling) because it would keep defenses off balance, but I do believe Frankie B is our guy going forward.

Yes. However, Fordie has to be careful not rotate them too much at QB...Blasinsky seems to be the type of QB that is exponentially better when he can get a rythm.
