Logan Aronhalt

Here are a couple of comments I found about Aronhalt.

The third day of action at the Reebok Summer Championships...One of the top sleepers we observed today was 6-4 G/F Logan Aronhalt (Zanesville, Ohio), who played for Team CBIZ. Aronhalt demonstrated excellent shooting touch from the outside. He also has the physical strength to play on the interior as well as very good leaping ability. He plays with a great deal of intensity and is very aggressive on defense.

The second annual King James Shooting Stars Classic ...Logan Aronhalt (6'4" Jr. SG-SF, Zanesville (OH) High) This well-built wing impressed in a 27-point outing, hitting plenty of shots including a few from well behind the three-point line. He's a plus athlete and will post up defenders to use his strength to score inside. Mid-major prospect.

Jake Linfors (6'9" Jr. PF, Addison (IL) Driscoll Catholic HS) Although he'll do some work inside, he spent a good deal of time trying to operate on the perimeter at the offensive end. He has range to the three-point line, though his shots weren't falling in his team's elimination game, and he also struggled on some close shots. He will get some rebounds and has good size to play inside at the mid-major level.

There's a nice picture of Aronhart throwing one down in his local paper, also some good quotes from him. He certainly sounds like a coach's son from his comments in the paper. Also a story about Lindfors.

Other teams in the America East conference include "NYU-Birmingham." Haha, don't let the Bearcat fans see that one..lol.

Both great local articles. Glad to see our (fan) showing at the NCAAs against Virginia in Columbus served as such a positive for some people. Sounds like these kids were being heavily recruited. It's great when we can beat out a number of schools, especially when some of them are from 'higher' conferences. Kudos to Coach Brown, Coach O'Donnell, and the rest of the staff.

And for how much we 'bash' Singelais, these are the type of articles I like to see. Even though it'd be great, we don't need a huge in-depth article with every piece of news. I'd much rather have a lot of these shorter articles if he covers stories like these than an occasional large article. I think this style keeps the capital region public a much more informed fan base.

The America East Conference includes teams like Vermont, Boston University, NYU-Birmingham and New Hampshire. Last year, Albany knocked off Vermont, an NCAA Tournament darling, in the conference finals to gain a spot in the "Dance" at the regional at Nationwide Arena in Columbus.

"They have a great fan base, and their basketball is well-supported," Coach Aronhalt said. "I talked to David Stewart (ZHS offensive lineman and Blue Santa of the ZHS Krunk Krew basketball cheering section). He went to Nationwide, and he said their fans were so nuts, you couldn't help but root for them."

"They have about 10,000 undergraduates, with about 8,000 students on campus," Logan Aronhalt said. "They're only about four miles from downtown (Albany, the state capital), so you're not too far from the city."

Albany adds Midwestern wing man...By Van Coleman van@hoopmasters.com

Will Brown and his Albany staff have once again dipped into the Midwest to scoop up a quality recruit...

According to a source close to the program, Albany has added another quality Midwestern talent to their program in Logan Aronhalt, 6-foot-4 215-pound wing from Zanesville, OH.

Logan, is a power guard who can score from around the arc or finish drives around the hoop with regularity. He averaged 18ppg and 8 rpg for Zanesville HS where he plays for his dad Scott Aronahalt. Last spring he was named to the 1st Team All State squad in Ohio.

He chose Albany over interest from Duquesne, Air Force, Bowling Green, Bucknell, Holy Cross, and Vermont.

Evidently we outrecruited some solid programs for Aronhalt!

Great find Patch, looks like an amazing kid on and off the court.

Agreed.

Was the video the first reference to NC State? That is quite the coup if we beat them to the punch.....

No-- Kent State

I think you are right that he meant Kent State since I never heard NC State as a school of interest before. He definitely says North Carolina State in the video though.

Kent State would make more sense geographically and in terms of basketball quality. The newscaster probably got it wrong, but I didn't know if there was some sort of coaching connection or local relatives thing going on regarding the NC State name.
