Kelly Lynch stares down the big mouths

"I thought it might be time I said hello...

I've been hanging around here for a few years now, so I've read everything you regulars have been posting. Yeah, even the "entertainment" on the smack board... (what, I didn't make your list???)

Anyway... since you find it so amusing to chat about the Wylands, I wanted to clear some things up for you all.

1- Mr. Siena, you really need some new material. That Damien Andrew story is getting almost as old as you are. And it's not even accurate. Damien was one of the few members of the "competition" Rodger actually liked. I was present for many of their conversations.

Your whole McNamara conspiracy theory makes no sense. He left (or was shown the door) and Rodger took over the 11. Where's the controversy? Isn't that how most people advance in their career? One person leaves, the next person moves up? If the TV station weren't happy with him and the work he does, he would have been shown the door a long time ago.

There was also never a female sportscaster here. That was another station. So much for that theory.

You used to be so fond of sending "anonymous" emails to the station. Haven't heard from you in awhile...

2- To answer the question raised this week about how many UA games Rodger does:

He does EVERY football game, except one per year.

He does EVERY basketball game, except for mid-week road games that fall during the ratings periods of November and February. WNYT doesn't allow anyone to take time off during ratings, and that includes road games for UA. Or, on the rare occasion that the football and basketball teams play on the same day - in which case Rodger will do one and Tobben will do the other. Those are the ONLY games he misses.

If you recall (and I know you do, since it was a topic of discussion at one point) he didn't even miss a game in March, when our son was born. I was induced to accommodate the America East/NCAA tournaments.

3- No, he doesn't read anything on this site, he doesn't really care. If you've heard him mention anything posted here on the air, it's because I've told him about it.

4- No, we don't mow our lawn. We hire a lawn service.

(Mr. Siena should know that, since he doesn't live far from us.)

5- no comment on the status of the other "landscaping" that was mentioned on the smack board awhile back... but yes, I did read that, too.

6- Sheets- I STILL don't know how you got that nickname at Siena. The rest of them were pretty self-explanatory- Keghead, Dertz, etc. But sheets.. never did figure that one out.

Anyway.. I'm not here to defend Rodger. He doesn't really care and neither do I. But there does seem to be quite a bit of confusion/misinformation put out there by the same old members, so if you have any questions or want the REAL story, I'd be happy to help.

Because apparenly, I am the only one here who doesn't feel the need to hide behind the cloak of anonymity.

Now I have a question for you:

If you are so offended by his radio program, why do you continue to listen?

If you are so outraged by his TV coverage, why do you continue to watch?? "

Responded to by $aintsFan:

"Roger doesnt "mow your lawn"??? ... he pays someone to do it, huh. "

Also responded to by gaskan:

" "Landscaping is well-maintained... thanks for asking, SaintsFan. (response by Kelly)"

Hence, the 8 month old? "

Turning to the merits of the landscaping issue, perhaps a Friday afternoon poll is in order?

We might have to take a discussion like that off-line.

On a different note, are you a fan of shag carpeting, throw rugs, or hardwood floors in your home?

Lol, now I'm completely confused. :(

Out of curiosity (and I'm being serious), and in the context of the current thread, what do the following mean: shag carpeting, throw rugs, hardwood floors? Actually, don't answer that. I'll have to browse the Internet for those answers.

Note to ADs: In the future, don't give each team a week off between their previous game and the rivalry game ... gives us way too much time (i.e., see this thread) before the annual game ... lol.

UA,

I'm far the expert in such matters but PM me if you need some clarification. I do know the terminology as it relates to this topic as it was often a butt of jokes when hanging with my homeboys .

After this year, I think they'll learn their lesson. Just like they learned their lesson about scheduling games right before Thanksgiving after the record-low turnout in '04. Kind of pointless to play a huge game the night when many students (UA more than $iena) are heading out of town for a holiday weekend.

Lol, yeah, good call: My ex-g/f on like the 4th or 5th date actually cheered for Siena at the UA vs. Siena game two years ago (and if that wasn't the "writing on the wall" I don't know what would be)! Even more bizarre was that she had attended UAlbany as an undergraduate student!

Was she a local or no? If she was, I might give her a modicum of forgiveness since locals, even UA alumni, of a certain vintage might root for $iena no matter what given their longtime higher status and past successes. If not, good thing dumping her!

This reminds me of a friend of mine who is a UA alum and his sister who is currently a senior at $iena. If the latter cared about the Danes as much as he cared about the Yankees and Giants, it'd be a good sibling rivalry because his sister is one of those Saint frontrunners.
