I just hope UA is proactive in their lobbying. Just because the guy isn't from the Capitol District doesn't mean you don't try. Never stop fighting.

What ever happened to the SUNY panel? Did they ever give their final suggestions? What were they?... even though I know they won't be implemented.

I read somewhere that Albany insiders don't expect them to ever write a final report. They'll leave it hanging in perpetuity because with a real pro-SUNY governor nothing will get done anyway. If you couldn't tell - Paterson is really meh on SUNY in general.

I don't think that Patterson is meh on SUNY more than he is a deer in headlights who is dealing with an inevitable financial crisis that would have happened anyway. Spitzer's spend-in-the-face-of-a-growing-deficit plans would have made the inevitable worse though as much as he was a pompus jerk who didn't care at least New York seemed to be slightly better off than it has been under Patterson. I mean, what would any of us have done if we were thrust into a position we didn't want to be in on short notice?

Who here thinks that Patterson is a catetaker governor who is just playing out the string until 2010 comes?
