WTF? Another day, another Siena recruit story. Does the TU realize that UA has a team also?

There were TWO blog entry's and now a story.....I don't mind that they cover Siena, they should have a great team and signed a strong recruit. But damn.....how about you put something in there about UA. Anything will do, we'll settle for a blog entry once a month. Useless POS paper!

Interesting how they story about Siena busing kids down to The Pearl for some underage drinking (Siena professor blew the whistle on that endeavor) wasn't covered. Or was it and I simply missed it?

You missed it, but it was easy to do.

If you go on the TU site and type in "Siena Drinking Binge pearl" you get a couple of relevant hits as well as irrelevant stuff like Siena signing a recruit.

It also appears there has been no updates since sunday.

The T-U printed complete men's and women's schedules on the back page in agate type, between today's girls' volleyball schedule and college soccer results (Albany women lost to Maine 1-0). No story, though.

The only local college story today was a Bishop Maginn girl verballing to Virginia Commonwealth. And a picture on the back page (next to our schedule) of a Siena softball player in her Siena sweatshirt running the bases in a game with the Capital District Special Olympics team.

No Albany football story.

Edit: missed the page 2 mention, which only points to Singelais' blog.

It appears there is only one way to get the TU to write about Albany:

Name the stadium the Times Union Stadium. We should get a story everyday about Albany then.

I rather have no stories from them than have their lame name on the stadium.

Had to search for it online, but The Pearl's liquor license has been suspended. Story only mentions 'minors' and 'underage drinkers'

glad this happened during the football season.

A lot of UA football players bounce at the Pearl in the offseason. That certainly would have been the headline.
