Saw Raffa today, on crutches. Sprained his ankle today in practice.

Unfortunately...I think we will see lots of nicks the way he plays.

Anyone else care to give an educated guess on the starting lineup, now that we've seen the team play a bit?

 

I have thought about this question and now that Logan's transition to the college game has been delayed a couple of weeks by his broken foot I may have to do some re-working.

 

However, I will say that for 2011 the starting line-up will be:

 

Anthony Raffa PG 6'1" 175 NJ HS SR

Logan Aronhalt SG 6'4" 180 OH HS SR

Billy Allen SF 6'6" 210 OH HS R-SR

Gavin Glanton PF 6'7" 200 AR HS JR

Jake Lindfors C 6'9" 220 IL HS SR

 

2012 is shoring up as follows:

 

Ralph Watts SG 6'6" 195 NY HS SR

Gavin Glanton SF 6'7" 200 AR HS SR

Blake Metcalf PF 6'9" IN HS SR

John Puk C 6'10" 215 IA HS JR

 

Nothing will happen between now and then so these predictions are as good as gold.

 

And as for the scrimmage Billy Allen surprised me the most. He looked very smooth and athletic with a very nice shot.

Replace Ralph Watts for Billy Allen in 2011 as a starter and switch Logan to shooting guard.

Now I think we are good for the next four years. Time to kick back and watch.

You think watts, glanton, and puk are going to start in 2012. What about the other fellas. Bit premature, but I think only maybe WATTS starts out of that group. And that is a stretch.

Mostly in jest as I know anything can happen in the next four years but it was showing how the recruits are projecting for future classes.

 

Also, you have to add Blake Metcalf into the mix...

I find it very promising that the 2008 season hasn't even started yet there would be eight lettermen already signed for 2011 and four for 2012.

 

Things will never project this "clean" but it is a testament to the efforts of the coaching staff that this many players can THEORETICALLY be projected through the system this late. My iron-vlad guarantee was tongue in cheek.

2012 was covered (you just have to add Metcalf to the mix.)

I am, however, concerned about 2013-2014 as only one player (Puk) would still be eligible.

The question was..."what year did you graduate from UA" The answer was something like 1895 or something to that effect.....everyone had a laugh.
