UAlbany Football - First Preseason Practice (8/9/2010)

Third and final scrimmage

Defense dominates (good sign considering the losses at LB and secondary). Leathley 7-12 passing.

I have been to all three scrimmages and have been very impressed with the defense as a whole. I also think we are alot deeper at running back than first thought.Im still up in the air about the QB situation Dan is probably the safer bet but Buddy seems a bit more confident and is way! more athletic He made a move on a corner back during a run last night and litterally took the feet right out from under him. I realy think we will see both of them. Looks like we will be without Poore for Maine and I think Okeefe is out as well. A win at Maine would really jump start this team

Maine is going to be a tough team and is a popular pick to contend for the CAA North. This is definitely not the Maine team that fell apart against us last year. They will have their all-american RB back (Turcotte) and their QB situation has been solidified.

The first two games are going to be some serious tests for the defense. Two vastly different offenses to go against. Should be interesting to say the least. I hope the Maine game video is on the internet somewhere.

Dane Fan please don't get me wrong! two real tough games but i think we may have a shot at Maine from what I have seen in our run stop defense. SFA is a whole different subject after watching our safeties. The Saddler kid looks like a good lock down corner but thats about it! that could be a longggggg day

We're in trouble at SFA. They're a legit national title contender this year. Hopefully with Texas AM the week before and Northern Iowa the week after, they won't have much time to focus on us.

I agree they are going to throw the ball all over the place! We dont have the offense to keep up. could be a 20 point game
