We need to make a killing in the horrible AE, the OOC is brutal. Cornell will be good, Iona depending on who you listen to will be very good.

You believe to much of what you read on the little maac board. There are no gimme games in the AE even the 2 games against the team that has the former $iena kid on the team.

As far as Iona and Cornell, those are good teams in peer leagues. They are not unbeatable, but are good measuring sticks to see how this team competes against good teams

What does me believing what the MAAC board has to say have to do with anything. They beat us last year pretty good, especially in the second half. They also got better then last year.

UA08

Getting picked to finish second by the coaches after losing their best 3 players is a lot different than actually finishing 2nd. Like last year when some were talking top 25 for them, I think they are overrated. I think Blue Ribbons prediction for them at 4th is the most likely place they will finish this season, but there are so many unknowns I wouldn't bet the house on any spot. On paper Fairfield , Iona and St Peters should be better than them

As far as UA, I would like to see improvement. I have no idea as to how much is realistic. A little, a lot, who knows. On paper UA is only better than UMBC but right there with Bingo and Hartford. I would be happy with 6th this season with anything above that being better.

i know that being picked 2nd is different than finishing second, but my point is that even after losing 3 star players they are still respected around the league. that allure we had after two championships is gone and we are considered the doormats of the america east again by all the coaches. the point is someone messed up on the recruiting trail during the 2 years we were dominant and put us in the cellar instead of becoming a dominant program in the america east. someone should have been held accountable for that but instead we all turn are heads and shy away from criticism.

i mean for god sake we are behind binghamton! this is a team that last year lost 6 players from their roster and still finished 6th with scraps. yes they still had a 1st teamer greer wright, but for a team that goes through so much stuff the past 2 years they are still picked a head of us. i dont know how that doesnt upset everyone that they are able to take two steps forward and we took two steps back after all the crap theyve been through.

Things have gotten so bad we don't even have a single game on ESPNU. This season ESPNU is on cablevision and albany gets 0 games on it.

We had duke on espn2 3 years ago, kansas on espnu 2 years ago, cuse and unc on espnu last year and this year nada.

Expecting 12 wins is unacceptable to me. I'd vote 16+.

You act like we were on TV, specifically on the U, often. Note: we weren't on TV because of us...we were on because of the team we played.

Every home game should be winnable. There is no one coming into sefcu that I see as an automatic loss

one more thing... i'll probably get bashed for this but coach brown has to look across town and wonder how that green team continued to be successful every year since 06. they lose there three best players this year and are still picked to finish second in the macc. dont tell me the macc is terrible because the america east is worse. they are doing something right over there and coach brown did not capitalize on recruiting from 05-07.

trust me i want albany to be successful just as much as everyone else.

Everyone has an opinion...and I totally disagree with yours. You are defining "fan"atic to a T.

I voted 13-15 which I would consider a decent year. After last year a decent year would seem great.

When I look at the schedule I see:

Games I think we should win if we're going to be a decent team in conference:

American

FDU

Yale

CCSU - That game from last year still annoys me

MSM

Colgate

Wagner

Would be good wins in my book:

Cornell

Iona

Detroit

Niagara

Bowling Green

Siena

Cornell is a great game to start with. Would be a huge confidence boost for a young team that can certainly use it.

Great breakdown...but I will take it a step further; those in Bold would be GREAT wins (one simply being a monkey off our back win with Siena).

we all know you have something against me, but theyve played 3 years on national television. if you want to include vcu and boise st thats 5 years. so yes i think for albany was represented well on national tv for an aeast team. probably more than any other.

binghamton! this is a team that last year lost 6 players from their roster and still finished 6th with scraps. - UA 08

Greer Wright and Dylan Talley were not scraps they were much better then our top 2 players.

if your going to take quotes out please include everything.

patch, the above sentence might have sounded like i was attacking you, but that was not my intention. it may have just sound like that.

i mean for god sake we are behind binghamton! this is a team that last year lost 6 players from their roster and still finished 6th with scraps. yes they still had a 1st teamer greer wright

and talley is gone and they still get more respect around the league. i just hope the team uses that to their advantage.

cornell had 4 senior starters graduate. i think we are giving them too much credit.

I kinda agree. Coming from where we are last season I couldn't type with a straight face that we should be a team that was a sweet 16 team last year.

and just to clarify my list i never said that we should win those games i wrote W's next to the winnable games.

To a point I agree with UA'08...I mean comeon, the coaching staff messed up BAD on the recruiting trail. I know there is a litany of excuses some of which are simply tough breaks. But what happened last season can't happen again in a long time. Loss after loss after loss after loss. The aura around the UA program following the two NCAA appearances has completely vanished.

Say what you will but Bing lost half a team, their coach not to mention all the other distractions and they swept us. That is inexcusable. We should have never been in the position we were in, what happened to this program to get to that point. Worthwhile question to ponder and try to learn something from.

Looking forward to this season if nothing more then to put last season behind us. It can't possibly get any worse.

Refers to the attitute in your poat that the AE is horrible and that UA should make a "killing" in the AE.

My opinion is that is the same nonsense you hear from maac clowns.
