That is a intramural/rec softball field built as part of Liberty Terrace.

Brutus...can we get an update on the settling process? Are we on schedule to start construction late August/early September still?

Well, at the very least, there is a big mound of dirt that the Giants can't miss seeing

while training. Maybe that will prompt their organization into making a large donation to the project,

seeing that its becoming a reality... slowly.

They are only here what, another 10 days?

August 14th camp ends.. I wouldn't expect work to resume until after that date

at the earliest. Someone said they expected that the ground would be ready by the end of August, correct?

UAlbany has been in my life for over 20 years now. I know pounder & socal around the same amount of time.

I know we're darn happy to see what's happening with the stadium, football... finally.

 

But, to all of you oldtimers that have been following UAlbany football and our athletics in general

for twice as long, I'm glad you're getting this stadium, caa football, and the other upgrades you've seen over

the past 10 years. Just to say thanks for supporting this athletic department for so darn long, I'm going to have a

few beers tonight in your honor!

They've finally put up a sign showing what's being built (but still doesn't have the expected politicians' names

Ok, assuming the are going to start within the next few weeks...

can and will construction carry on throughout the winter? I assume

all of the underground work will be done before deep freezing.

As long as the foundations are laid and local work...yes, you can continue construction as weather permits. You are not going to be bolting steel together in the winter. Theoretically...the steel can go up pretty quickly.
