Or University Field? Just as long as they don't play the games at Siena! LCC

bad enough the 9/23 game vs LCC is scheduled there. I wouldn't expect any other games would be there. If I had to guess I would think UAalum72 first mention of St Rose would be coorrect.

Turf being rolled out on the recreation field today

(taken from Dutch Quad, softball field is to the left)

Holy crap that was quick.

Ten weeks since the groundbreaking, no real demolition, that's about what I expected for just turf. Do they still have to put up light poles? Shouldn't take that much longer to finish up.

The Webcam doesn't really convey the size of the dirtpile used to compress the soil

Meanwhile, they've cut down some trees behind the field hockey pitch, and graded a path down to the new practice fields (probably to make it easier for the Giants to ride their golf carts)

Thanks for the upclose shots 72. I drove through campus last Friday after my son's surgery,

but didn't have time to jump out. The dirt pile is much bigger in person.

Do we have any guesses on when the next phase will start? I love the dirt and all, but..

Actual construction is slated for late August to early September - but it's all contingent on the engineering reports for the compaction and the need to be at the design elevation.

Thanks. Looks like the satellite photo is from early May (if you have the 45-degree option checked).

Drag the shot eastward to a point just north of the new Liberty Terrace dorms. Has anyone heard what's being built at the end of the driveway to UPD (across from the sculpture studio)? It looks like a softball field, not big enough for baseball. I've seen the backstop screen from perimeter road but haven't checked closer. Is it a rec field or a from-scratch field for the varsity?

BTW they're landscaping the Liberty dorm parking lot, but it's still off-limits to the public.
