I have no idea how it works, but I think it would be better to get our games on the station that would grab the most listeners to build the following. I'm assuming the school station has far fewer listeners than FOX, right?

And BTW...I totally agree that it should be on a national netweork and not WCDB. We are building a brand. If this decision was made b/c:

 

A) Finances; or

Punishment to Rodger (who I have NEVER EVER LIKED and he deserves a serious smackdown for releasing the CAA info)

 

...then I will be upset.

FWIW WOFX changed from the Mets to the Red Sox this year, but as far as I can tell there aren't any conflicts with this year's football schedule. I haven't heard that they're picking up Syracuse broadcasts or any other college package.

I will say, Stony Brook does their football games on their campus radio station, and they do a damn good job with it. So just because it is on campus radio doesn't mean it won't be anything good. The only thing that we have to figure out is that WCDB does not broadcast commercials/sponsors.

Here is another thing...and I don't know how sure I am of this...Dane Zone. They never had the audio for Dane Zone of games. Is that because of copyright issues with WOFX? I would think with WCDB there is no issue.

This seems like a good place for this: Santillo tweeted that there was a representative from the Atlanta Falcons at UAlbany's practice today, scouting LB Jon Morgan.

We knew getting a stadium & the football upgrade would drastically change things.

NFL scouts and UAlbany alums turning PRO will be common place.

(although this one isn't directly related)
