Another REALLY tough game today after a long trip West.

- Defense by the numbers hasn't been great so far deff eff. 105.5 (291 rank). Hopefully it's because of the step up in competition and playing two athletic/very athletic teams.

- Offense to me has been a positive surprise even as we played Ohio St. one of the top defense in the country (ranked 5th). Dukes are also a solid defensive team so far (rank 120). I thought there was a good chance without Suero and Logan that they would struggle but the offense has been pretty good, Off Eff 100 (172 rank).

Washington has played one game...beat Loyola MD by 22.

Doc Sauers and Albany just got a shout out during the Temple @ Kent State game. Happened around the 18:45 mark in the second half if in case anyone wants to replay it on espn3 later. Kent State's coach, Rob Senderoff started his coaching career as an assistant for Doc Sauers at Albany. The announcer called him the legendary Doc Sauers, and that he is one of the most underrated coaches in the history of college basketball.

As frustrated as I get with those phantom calls on Blake or Puk, I can't imagine being those guys and not yelling at the refs when they don't even touch the guys yet get called.
