It's kind of an odd mix of schools for White. Mercer, Albany, Boise State and then Duke.

We have 4 open scholarships next season and maybe more. Hoping that we reload instead of rebuild. Coaching staff has a lot of work to do this offseason.

Probably a pipe dream, but I would love to see UA start setting it's heights a little higher for recruits if possible. Not sure how to do it and have a chance of landing them, but look at what another mid-major (that has been brought up in this thread already) is doing with their next few classes: Grand Canyon of the WAC. They are a higher conferences than the AE but not by that much. Their next few classes of offers look to be full of 4 and 5 start recruits according to verbal commits. Yeah we don't have an NBA all-star as a coach or some of the financial backing they do, but I'm sure it could be done.

 

OK enough dreaming from me for now. Regardless of that $iena that happened last night, and the loss of 3 all-conference players, I still have high hopes for next season with who the team should return. Even if no new recruits are added the team appears to still be near the top of the league. If Jenkins is as good as advertised (lots of comparisons to Singletary and I seem to remember someone saying he is a better shooter) and the team adds a few nice pieces the team could even be the favorite next season.

Regarding the soon to be for profit GCU, you can bring in 4-5 star recruits when you have bags of cash. In fact, you can bring in 5 star recruits anywhere if you have bags of cash

That's a great question. Verbal commits still has him committed and had him redshirting this season and last I knew his twitter still had a UA logo on it, but it doesn't appear to be there anymore. Who knows these days as players move around so much.

So..4 scholarships open..with the graduation of Singletary, Hooley and Sanders..and the departure of Chas Brown. Reports were that Jenkins had committed..but now it looks like he might have committed to Southern U? Other than that..no known reports of commits?

That list wasn't in any particular order.

 

Also think it's way early to have any confidence in what the starting line-up will be. Remember..our starting line-up for last year's championship game was Singletary, Sanders, Ennema, S. Rowley and Peters. Quite a bit different from what we started this season with..despite losing just one of those players to graduation.

Biggest need appears to be a wing or two, and PG/SG help. At this point, to much is in the air about Brown's status and what impact if any that will have on any transfers etc.
