Listening to Patsos. Is this guy serious? Said something like......."Siena is a storied program so teams get amped up to play us. Like the Royals playing the Yankees." WHAT? HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!

HAHA...what delusion. Fits right in with that crazy fan-base. Actually very encouraged by the many pro-fair contract talk on TU blogs, UA forum and even Siena forum. Feels like many have seen the light.

Siena is going to be under pressure to cut an equitable deal of home and home or walk away and take the fall. It doesn't help that they have not lost 4 of 5 and will looks like chickens running from what clearly is now the better program. I mean we own them!

This guy is a piece of work. Just one huge excuse.

- Hooley 3 was lucky

- many of Siena's fouls could've gone either way

- we have injuries

- Every team plays their best game of the year against us

- I told the kids not to shoot more threes and they shot more threes - great job throwing your kids under the bus.

- The "this is not our home game" is total BS. He is a total dummy.

I'd be embarrassed to have him as my coach.

Surprised a Siena fan didn't call the cops on Brown for whipping him like he did...thoroughly out-coached in this one. Never tried to make adjustments. Hopefully he's there forever.

"I tell them to rebound and they just don't" - Like it's not his fault. Maybe you are recruiting the wrong kids? Maybe you need to teach them how to box out better? Maybe you need to show them how to position when a shot goes up? I don't know but don't just blame the kids.

Most Siena fans are cool with this though...

I know some of you think otherwise, but the idea of alternating the designated home team at the TUC is a much less attractive option. It will never feel like a home game. At best, it will be a neutral game. Even if we had the courtside seats, the majority of the fans would still route for Siena. Also, Siena season ticket holders are strongly opposed to this concept, and do not want to be relegated to visitors seats on Sienas home court. This creates an additional negotiating obstacle A few other points:

UA has earned the right to have a home. Its really a question of competitive fairness. As noted, Providence agrees to play at URI every other year even though thousands are closed out when the game is played at URI. Villanova plays in St. Joes small gym every other year. Same principals of fairness should apply to Siena-UA going forward.

Dumping the game is the easy way out and I hope it doesn't happen. Most people/fans of both teams look forward to the game. Its certainly better than the usual non-conference games against Ivy, Patriot, MAAC/AE type teams that fill a big chunk of the non-conference home game slate for both Siena and UA. Siena might be able to get a high profile team to come to the TUC once every few years, but that would be the exception to the usual boring non-conference opponent. Even more true for us at SEFCU.

Playing at SEFCU every other year would add some juice to the rivalry. Id bet that at least 500 Siena fans would find a way to see a Siena UA game live at SEFCU through team/player allotments or otherwise. (Vermont always brings a few hundred fans which adds to the atmosphere). The rest can watch on TV and look forward to a home game at the TUC the following year.

The only way a home and home (TUC/SEFCU) deal hurts Siena is they have to play a true road game against a local rival. If thats the reason why DArgenio doesnt want to play at SEFCU, then there is no room for compromise and the series will likely end. The ball is in his court and I agree with WB on this.

Amen!

Based on this logic, it's a miracle that the Kentucky Wildcats aren't 0-11.

Wait, he actually said that to the press about his kids? Wow. You don't do that to your kids who are struggling as it is. What does he think is going to happen? All of a sudden they're going to start playing better cause he ripped them in the media? No. Those kids are going to zone him out even more than they may have already done.

That fool just cost himself the job, IMO.

Yes. I caught very little of the post game press conference at the Pub after the game. (On the tv channel that televised the game )

"I tell them to rebound and they just don't" was 1 quote I heard but could not remember exactly to quote to other people who arrived at the pub later
