Their fans say we were only getting 1400 (or 750) per game in the first half of the season, but of course their numbers are completely honest, even when they announce 6400 during a snowstorm. Also we shouldn't count the BPG or the playoffs because that's not our true fan base.

comical and they are fine including all the Albany fans in their average .

Also their attendance is so far from actual they included in at least 1 box score "attendance represents tickets taken off the ticketing system" .

Not fans there . Not tickets sold . Just taken off the ticketing system LOL

I got into it with them about this on their board, the hypocrisy is astounding. Their inflated, and I do mean inflated especially second part of the season, numbers are all good. Everyone else needs to have ushers go up and down rows to count actually asses in seats or it's bogus.

 

The chances of them averaging 6200 a game this season are ZERO. The number of empty seats toward the end of the year was ugly, I watched just about every game on TV.

Folks that don't read the Siena board should go look at the number of UA related threads...full on panic over there. An entire thread dedicate to if Will Brown leaves can they get their hands on Cremo, UA being mentioned as a dominant program in the CD by Gottlieb has it's own thread, where would UA finish in the MAAC has it's own thread. Most of them mixed, some folks starting to realize that this is not good for Siena, the other half keeps chanting that Siena will always be the dominente program in the CD...

 

Full on dumpster fire...

 

 

And of course we have the obligatory Siena will whip UA posts looking at next year.

Never before has their been that many Siena threads on here as there are UA threads on there this past several days. Amazing how infatuated they are with our program, beating us and who is better. They must be really worried or really bored. Honestly, it's pretty damn weird.

I don't go on there but do they realize they don't have enough good sports programs to be #1? When you have one or maybe two I dunno sports that do well that's not a good recipe for being a city's sport's school. That's something UA has...mutliple sports multiple winning programs. I'm sure they are jumping off ledges...which we will have a great view of from our beautiful Bob Ford Field.

Ran into a $iena fan while waiting for a table at a local pub last night. He said he was thinking of giving up his season tickets at the tu, but was afraid that as soon as he did, $iena would become good again. I told him UA would welcome him as a season ticket holder. He said something about wanting the ticket marketing for UA and he could double our "2000" average. Before walking away I commented that he should learn something about what he wanted to market before attempting to do so. By the way he was not trying to be derogatory, he really thought that was our average.

 

This guy fits perfectly in both of clacks pictures: head in the sand and dumpster fire. I keep thinking there is room for both programs in this town; but so many of $iena fans fit this mold, that I just do not know. Anyhow it is definitely dumpster fire for the series until they wise up and acknowledge equality [or more accurately UA's superiority]

I don't even know why we even bother focussing on them anyway. We need to build our own brand and fan base. Even if we do steal some of the casual fans, as soon as we have a down year they will bolt as quick as possible

Agree . With all the alumni we have and all the people in the region , there is no reason to focus on the dumbest 3000 4000 or whatever their attendence actually is

It is quite obvious for a while that we are their super bowl

Will be interesting if the contract doesn't get done And the reaction from that fanbase as opposed to ours

Who did they poll? The most surprising number is that only 4% don't follow either team. That means over 750,000 people follow these teams, but if they played on the same night no more than 10,000 would actually attend.
